Today is not tomorrow: PTSD Understories This group exhibition aims to raise community awareness about the ways that post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) affects individuals, families and communities. It reflects on the ways that artistic practice can improve mental health. The exhibition includes works from established and emerging North Queensland and Australian artists who draw on a range of artistic, professional and personal experiences relating to PTSD. OPENING LAUNCH

6:00pm Friday 8 November 2019

Guest speaker Dr Robin Rodd, College of Arts, Society & Education, James Cook University. This opening coincides with the launch of the new Umbrella building & Belonging: 2019 Umbrella Members’ Exhibition & Bamford Medical Art Prize , to be opened by the Mayor of Townsville Councillor Jenny Hill.
