Thornybush Nature Reserve is located a mere twenty minute drive from Hoedspruit Airport, which is served twice daily from Johannesburg and three times a week via direct jet service from Cape Town. The reserve also boasts its own tarred runway served daily from Johannesburg by Federal Air Charters. Thornybush Private Nature Reserve spans nearly 50 000 acres and plays host to an abundance of game, including the popular Big Five. Accommodation offerings consist of five eight-bed and one sixteen-bed luxury lodges, an eight-tent bush camp and two five star twenty-suite lodges - Thornybush Game Lodge and Thornybush Waterside Lodge. The lodges, some fifteen minutes’ drive apart within the reserve, provide an ideal opportunity to accommodate conferences, weddings, special event launches and the like. Both Thornybush Game Lodge and Thornybush Waterside Lodge have extensive conferencing facilities and up to 140 delegates/guests can be accommodated.
