Chapter one the characteristic of China footwear industry It can be summerized from the above features ďźš 1. Since China is the big producer of footwear, new materials and technologies can be quickly applied, so that footwear quality problems will be exposed earlier. 2. The huge consumer groups have different and complex requirements. China has a vast territory, the requirements of consumer groups in north and south China have significant differences, as well as the temperature in different area and different wearing occasions. 3. Through several decades experience, the physical test methods are formed as a more comprehensive system. In recent years, as the study and track of chemical substances in consumer goods draw attention internationally, plenty of chemical substances that hazard to environment and human health are forbidden in more and more countries. The SAC/TC 305 on one hand reminds enterprises to pay attention to footwear chemical performance; on the other hand organize enterprises, research institutions, and test organizations to start the research of test methods of chemical substances.
