Even though Tanneke Wigersma also wanted to be a fashion designer, an archaeologist, a conductor and an actress, she has always known that she was eventually going to write books. She has written many reading and picture books for children, receiving many awards for her works, including a Vlag en Wimpel. Sarah van Dongen is a Dutch illustrator based in Amsterdam. She studied comparative literature and obtained a Master's degree in contemporary literature in which she focussed on children's books. After that she enrolled in the MA in Children's books illustration in Cambridge, UK.
