INTERNATIONALLY & GLOBALLY RENOWNED RESEARCH

Our innovative research leverages our unique Pacific-Asia location and our faculty expertise in strategic areas of research with local and global impact:

• Earth sciences from shoreline to volcanoes and inner Earth processes

• Ocean sciences from microbes to acidification and global circulation

• Astronomy from solar system observations to largest map of galaxies

• Renewable energy from smart building design to power grid integration

• Biodiversity from microbes to ecosystem scale

• Health disparities (JABSOM’s Ola Hawaii; UH Cancer Center’s MEC, CTAHR's Children’s Healthy Living Program)

• Health Analytics (Pacific Health Analytics Collaborative)

• Advanced Data Visualization from LAVA Lab's virtual reality to astronomy
