The series of paintings were created as a celebration of the heritage, lives and memories of people who live in Coventry, some who had lived all their lives in the city, others who came to find employment or sanctuary.
Each painting was based on conversations Andy had with the participants over the past two years focussing on memories of their life in Coventry.

“This is the first time I have seen my daughter smile in five days, she is in so much pain and this has brought her relief, thank you so much it is wonderful you are doing this”
“We visited a patient with dementia who had been very distressed. I flew the origami bird over to her and Ben played a soothing song about the bird flying. The lady immediately seemed calmer, she was transfixed! Ben came closer and played some slow chords, she started to sing the notes he was playing so beautiful. We discovered music was so important to her.”
