Sancal and colour are an inseparable duo. A Mediterranean, fresh character inundates its products with an artistic sensibility. For this Salone Milano, Sancal shaped a neutral and minimalist space and invited two well-known interior designers to recreate everyday scenes with the firm’s iconic furniture.

If there’s one thing that characterises Sancal, it’s a strong aesthetic. Not only bold shapes but also textures and colours are key to its identity. The products presented in Milan imagines new, joyful, life-affirming shapes and silhouettes – some conceived during confinement – without losing function. A optimistic expressiveness contrasts and complements formal elements. Sancal takes its motto ‘breaking the mould’ seriously!

LINK & LOOP / Raw Color

Seat of power

Loop & Link are part of a collaborative project between Raw Color and Sancal. Raw Color seeks to create new joyful ways of sitting. Visually connected by the cylinder, the geometry softens the volumes of both pieces. Textiles add a warm, tactile touch. The Link pouf is an everyday object turned sculpture – the result of a reflection on alternative furnishing solutions. The Loop family of sofas offers a mix of finishes that break the loop and turn it into a sartorial work through different sizes and special finishes. Like a patchwork, each version combines three hues of the same colour.

Expressions of interest

With a clear human approach, Faces tables reflect our desire to unmask ourselves. Artistic and provocative, they are rooted in the essence of Sancal. To create functional tables, the designer shifted away from traditional aesthetics, using unusual shapes which change their appearance depending on the angle of the viewer. These tiny details are not superfluous, as they add volume and make Faces feel both animated and abstract.

The elegant minimal

Versatile Body is a single structure with unlimited possibilities thanks to multiple options of finishes and legs. Its name refers to its backrest, which echoes a human body, in particular the back and shoulders. Several layers of moulded ash wood veneer form a structure with organic, smooth, and simple lines, whether seen from the front or back. Body is an elegant, minimalist chair that works in all types of interiors thanks to its universal and customisable character.

MOMIC / Rafa García

Modern love

Momic is a wide modular lounge chair inspired by mid-century design. Options are simple: an exclusive furry textile and a warm, soft leather. As its name suggests, Momic reinterprets the classic shapes of mid-century aesthetics for a modern lifestyle. Delicate lines, soft curves, and organic shapes create a seating family of elegant simplicity and timeless look. This is timeless modern flair for contemporary, dynamic interiors.

ELLE MINI / Rafa García

She’s a beauty

This family of armchairs and lounge chair is stylised and fashionable, ideal for relaxed, casual seating. Elle Mini’s compact structure suits small corners, and provides extra seating. Inspired by beach loungers, lightweight Elle is made of only two elements: textile and metal – reducing raw materials to a minimum. The cover is easily removed and repaired. During the Salone, Escenas (scenes) showcased these new products in three inspiring settings alongside pieces from the Museo Collection such as Remnant, Core, and Tortuga.
