The British weather can be very varied so we suggest packing clothes for both rain and sun. Students usually dress informally for lectures and dress up the finale event. You can buy all normal products such as groceries, toiletries and washing powder cheaply in the UK. Shops on campus can supply most everyday items, with supermarkets or larger shops in the city offering a wider selection. If you would like to set up a budget for your time at UEA the International Student Calculator can be a useful tool. You can find out more about the cost of living in Norwich at Numbeo. Money: Cash points can be found on campus and throughout Norwich city centre. There is also a Bureau de Change located in the shop on campus at the Post Office kiosk. We advise that you do not carry around or keep large amounts of cash in your room or on your person. You may wish to notify your bank that you will be withdrawing money from UK cash points, and check if there are any fees when withdrawing money or using your card abroad.
