Silicon Valley Campus

A campus with world-class facilities and one of the most visually spectacular settings in higher education. State-of-the-art buildings include the Biomedical Sciences Building, the Humanities and Social Sciences Facility, the Digital Arts Research Center, and the McHenry Library expansion.

Located on the edge of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, the Coastal Science Campus is a 100-acre site that encompasses Younger Lagoon Reserve, UC Santa Cruz research and education facilities, and state and federal research laboratories.

Like Silicon Valley, UC Santa Cruz does not accept the status quo. The UC Santa Cruz Silicon Valley Campus is a multi-disciplinary teaching and research hub ranging from Games and Playable Media to Industry Alliances and Technology Commercialization.

WHY STUDY AT UC SANTA CRUZ?

ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

UC Santa Cruz is a public university like no other in California, combining the intimacy of a small liberal arts college setting and distinctive undergraduate experience characterized by our residential college system, with the facilities and resources of a world-class research university.

Overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Monterey Bay, the University of California, Santa Cruz offers rigorous academics from awardwinning faculty that teach students how to think, not what to think. Our unique, cross-disciplinary approach has resulted in paradigm-changing discovery since our founding in 1965.
