The UConn men’s basketball team wraps up the 2015-16 regular season with an American Athletic Conference game against UCF at Gampel Pavilion. The game, which will be preceded by UConn’s Senior Day ceremony, is scheduled to tip off at 2 p.m. and will be televised by ESPNU. UConn (20-10 overall, 10-7 American) is coming off an 80-54 road loss at SMU on Thursday and will be trying to break a two-game slide. The Huskies are led by four double-figure scorers -- grad student forward Shonn Miller (12.8), junior guard Rodney Purvis (12.8), grad student guard Sterling Gibbs (12.1) and sophomore swingman Daniel Hamilton (11.6). Hamilton is the team’s top rebounder (8.7) and also is the leader in assists (4.9). UCF (12-16, 6-11) is coming off a 73-65 win at home over Tulane on Thursday, which snapped a 7-game losing streak. The Knights are led in scoring by sophomore swingman A.J. Davis (11.8) and sophomore guard Adonys Henriquez (10.2). Davis is also UCF’s top rebounder (6.0), while senior guard Daiquan Walker leads in assists (3.9). UConn defeated UCF, 67-41, earlier this season in Orlando. HUSKY BITES  Kevin Ollie is in his fourth season as the 18th head coach of the UConn men’s basketball

program, with a career record of 92-43. He reached 50 victories in just two years and he is already sixth on the all-time list of UConn coaching victories. His .681 winning percentage ranks fourth among UConn coaches who have coached more than 20 games and he and Jim Calhoun are the only UConn coaches to win the NCAA championship.

 UConn owns a 30-5 record (.857) on ESPNU since first appearing on the channel during

the 2005-06 season. The Huskies were 7-1 on ESPNU in 2013-14, were 4-0 on the channel last year and is 1-1 so far this season. Today’s game is the last of three regular-season UConn games on ESPNU this season.

 UP NEXT: UConn will start play in the American Athletic Conference Championship at

the Amway Center in Orlando, Fla. The Huskies are locked in as the No. 5 seed, clinching a first-round bye, and will open in the quarterfinals on Friday against an opponent to be determined, televised by either ESPN2.
