Instructor Spotlight
Lydia Cedrone A highly respected instructor in UCLA Extension’s Custom Programs and public arts & entertainment courses, Lydia is experienced in both studio and independent producing and filmmaking. Her credits include Lantern’s Lane, No Alternative, The Betrayed, and In Memorium. She has served as producing advisor and production consultant on films both in the U.S. and abroad. Her career kicked off in the early 1990s on the set of Robert De Niro’s directorial debut film, A Bronx Tale. Her foray into producing began in the mid 1990s with a comedy filmed at the historic Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. Ms. Cedrone managed marketing and distribution spending (Savoy Pictures) and development and production spending (Trimark Pictures and The Walt Disney Co.) She ran production operations for Forward Pass Productions and oversaw spending on Ali, starring Will Smith, Jon Voight, and Jeffrey Wright. Ms. Cedrone holds an MBA from New York University and a BA from Boston College. In New York, she worked for veteran film producer Nancy Tenenbaum and at Robert De Niro’s Tribeca Film Center. A Boston native, she is co-founder and co-president of Tidal Wave Entertainment. She is currently in development on the inspirational true story of a teenage lifeguard who in 2019 suffered a devastating spinal cord injury and rallies back with the help of his unwavering mother.

Collaborations include longtime Los Angeles cornerstones like HBO, FOX, Univision, Lionsgate, and Sony, streaming giants Netflix and Hulu, as well as niche organizations like Atomic Cartoons. Our curriculum covers a wide range of programs and topics, from new manager development courses and personal branding seminars to multi-year Project Management Certificates.
