Coaching measures taken: We began with feedback on her resume. A relationship manager from the UCS Corporate Outreach team came to me with an opportunity for a fellowship in Alaska. I took the opportunity to the student as she was open to the idea of relocating. I sent her more information, and she began to really consider the possibility of moving to Alaska.

Outcome: She applied to a fellowship in Sitka and was accepted! She told me she had never felt so validated as when she was working with me. After our first meeting, she went home crying to her mom, feeling hopeful about the job search for the first time. At graduation, she introduced me to her parents and took photos with me.
