The Project Manager is a leader, decision-maker and is responsible for managing the project, resources, and scope of business requirements.
Scrum Master help to improve the team’s efficiency in delivering value. They resolves barriers and controls the Scrum processes. Project Manager focuses more on the day-to-day operations and logistics of a project such as budgets, timelines, and other external factors that affect the project.
Scrum Master ensures that a project is running smoothly with the help of the tools. Project Manager works with upper management in managing the project.
Scrum Masters coaches and facilitates the teams but does not lead the team. Whereas project manager communicates with stakeholders and directs the team.
Scrum Masters is the Certified Scrum Master (CSM) by Scrum Alliance. The PMP requires previous project management experience, while the CSM does not require any prior knowledge or experience.
