Chitwan National Park Safari


Chitwan National Park is situated in the central part of Nepal, in Chitwan district. Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve Safari

Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve happens to be situated in the eastern part of Nepal. It covers districts such as Sunsari, Saptari and Udaypur. It is also known for the large population of animals, birds and plants that live here. Saptakoshi river, which is one of the major rivers of Nepal passes through the park, creating a flood plain. This results in this area being home to around 200 species of fish. The majority of the park is covered in grasslands, and only 6% is covered in forests. Altogether, around 514 plant species are found in the park. When it comes to mammals, around 31 species have been recorded in the region. Some of them include Asian Elephant, Spotted Deer, Wild Water Buffalo, Ganges River Dolphin, and so on. In the same way, around 485 species of birds have been recorded in the national park premises. Some of them include Black-Headed Cuckooshrike, Whitetailed Stonechat, Striated Grassbird, Large Adjutant Stork, and so on. Parsa Wildlife Reserve Safari Parsa Wildlife Reserve is a protected area that is located in the plain belt of Nepal, in the central part. It spreads across three districts – Parsa, Bara and Makwanpur. The reserve is home to many species of endangered animals and plants. Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve Safari Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve is located in the hills of Nepal, in the western part of the country. It extends across three districts – Rukum, Myagdi and Baglung. The reserve is home to more than 100 species of plants. As the altitude of the park ranges between 2800 m and 5500 m, the landscapes consist of forests, marshlands and meadows. Most places at an altitude above 5000 m remain snow covered throughout the year. The reserve is rich when it comes to animal species as well. There are 18 species of mammals present in the park. Some of them are Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Red Panda, and so on. In the same way, 137 species of rare birds have been spotted in the area. These include Koklass Pheasant, Cheer Pheasant, Impeyan Pheasant, and so on. The reserve is the only hunting reserve in Nepal, and it was established to allow the hunting enthusiasts to hunt animals. The two animals that are allowed to be hunted in the reserve are Himalayan Tahr and Blue Sheep. The only way to get involved in hunting or go for Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve Safari is by the means of trekking. You can go for a 12 days Baglung to Beni trek for the purpose.

Shuklaphanta National Park Safari

Shuklaphanta National Park is a protected area situated in the far western region of Nepal. The park is located mainly in the plains, and consists of landscapes like forests, grasslands and wetlands. When it comes to vegetation, around 700 species of plants have been recorded altogether. These include plants like Khair, Sissoo and Sal. In the same way, 46 species of mammals and 28 fish species have been spotted in the park. Some of them include Bengal Tiger, Indian Leopard, Sloth Bear, Swamp Deer, and so on. Out of all the 423 bird species that are a part of the reserve, Swamp Francolin, Jerdon’s Bushchat, Rufous-Rumped Grassbird, are a few.
