One of my messages to our TRIO Scholars this year was “Don’t just be ordinary, Be Extraordinary.” I am blessed to be around students who are pursuing their talents and gifts through creative and innovative ways. Everytime I get the opportunity to work with our Scholars, I am reminded of how much talent is in the pipeline of Metro Detroit students. There is so much potential for excellence, and my hope is that every Scholar can realize their own potential.

This year our staff had the opportunity to work a full year of programming with our students and their families, and we are grateful to have some amazing moments and memories to share with you in this Annual Report we call “Impact in Year 2: TRIO Scholars Go International.” Take a moment to view this publicaton for yourself and see some of the great moments and momentum that GVSU TRIO Upward Bound Detroit is providing students right here in Motown. Huge thank you to all of our community partners and sponsors. This work cannot be done without you.

EVERYTIME I GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH OUR SCHOLARS, I AM REMINDED OF HOW MUCH TALENT IS IN THE PIPELINE OF METRO DETROIT STUDENTS.
