Northern suburbs to benefit from new Makro PROMOTION
A brand new 16 513m² Makro store is due to open later in August and will give commercial, reseller and retail shoppers easy access to over 55 000 quality branded products at real discount value in the northern suburbs of Cape Town. The store is located on the corner of Okavango Road and Belami Road in Brackenfell. The store general manager, Gert Burger, confirmed that to date they have created a total of 428 new job opportunities. They hope to achieve at least 2 000 in-store training interventions. Burger brings a wealth of retail experience gained throughout his working career. He has always been in retail, and has been with Makro for 22 years. He started his Makro career in Durban and has held various management positions in seven different Makro stores in various regions including Cape Town. He was appointed general manager of Makro Ottery in March last year before his appointment as general manager at Makro CapeGate.

skool in Klipheuwel is in ekstase oor hul nuwe klaskamer. Die kleuterskool het onlangs twee klaskamers bygekry en kan nou 170 kleuters versorg. Voorheen kon die skool net 120 kleuters akkommodeer. Die skool het ook vier nuwe onderwyseresse aangestel.
Recyclable collections resume The collection of recyclables has resumed, but there may be delays, the City of Cape Town said last week. City contractor, Wasteplan, has resumed the collection of recyclables in the green-lid bins. “However, due to the training of new staff and as a result of the backlog created during the strike period, the service is delayed,” read the state-
