N-SITE works on the planned residential development at Two Wells is likely to begin in the new year following recent council support. The first stage of the Hickinbotham Group’s Liberty masterplanned estate now has District Council of Mallala’s final tick of approval, paving the way for the Two Wells township expansion to begin next year. Detailed engineering designs are the next step in the planning phase of the new estate, Liberty. This includes designs for civil, traffic, stormwater, lighting and electrical engineering as well as detailed landscaping plans. The Hickinbotham Group expect to break earth in the first half of 2015. Liberty is part of the $1.225 billion Two Wells township expansion, which is claimed will possibly create more than 3000 regional jobs during the next 20 years. Mallala council has granted full development approval to Liberty’s first stage which will comprise 354 residential allotments. This approval follows council’s initial planning consent in August for Liberty’s staged land division. Hickinbotham Group managing director, Michael Hickinbotham, said he welcomed the development approval and was looking forward to beginning work. “We have worked with the Council and the community since 2007 to ensure the Two Wells township expansion is well-planned and delivers local services, jobs and the timely delivery of infrastructure as the community grows,” Mr Hickinbotham said. n Continued Page 13
