SHERWOOD PARK STEELE & AJFHL AJFHL was established in 2009 for female hockey players 18-21 years old to continue playing hockey at a competitive level after Midget. Founding members included: Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, Irma, Spruce Grove, Red Deer, Wainwright and Edmonton. In 2011 the AJFHL expanded with teams in Calgary and Cremona. Currently there are eleven teams spread over the province with five in the North and six in the South. Welcome Steele hockey is back! Welcome to another exciting season of Sherwood Park Steele Junior A Female Hockey. At this time, we would like to thank our many sponsors, volunteers, parents and most importantly the young ladies who represent us so well and make everything possible. This year’s Steele players are a strong group who represent our organization through character, passion, commitment, and teamwork extraordinarily well. The 18 to 21-year-old females have full schedules with most attending College or University programs while working part- time or full-time jobs. Many still find time to volunteer with local organizations and community hockey programs. The Sherwood Park Steele Program is focused on developing young ladies who will become future leaders in our communities. With our graduating juniors as an example, the program will continue to have success. Well done ladies! The coaching staff is excited at the opportunity to coach a talented group of young ladies willing to work hard to achieve our goal of a Provincial title. This wouldn’t be possible without the support of many people and businesses, this support doesn’t go unnoticed, and we thank you!
