She was enthralled by the actions of the healthcare team working collaboratively to deliver her baby brother as a child. This experience was her introduction to the medical industry Since coming to the United States, she has worked as a nursing assistant who has developed an understanding of diverse populations
Madisen Barre-Hemingway
Madisen is enrolled at the University of Washington's School of Nursing and will graduate August 2023. Madisen's interest in becoming a nurse comes from her experiences as a youth. She is passionate about racial inequity and injustices in the healthcare system. One of her professors describes her as a self-starter. She has received recognitions for her community service and a number of awards from various organizations for her contributions

Mebel Christian-Ezeofor
Mebel is enrolled in Seattle University and is pursuing a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP). She will graduate in May 2026. She recognized that access to healthcare was a basic right for a free and just society Throughout her career, she has been summarized as a visionary, goal setter and achiever Her goal is to become an Acute Care AdultGerontology Nurse Practitioner to lead mission trips to educate and serve under-served populations.
Jean Claude Cisekedi
Jean Claude is enrolled at Seattle University's School of Nursing and will graduate August 2024. His aspiration to become a nurse is supported by his family. He takes care of four younger brothers and shows them kindness, empathy, and compassion. He is working as a medical assistant and serves as an advocate for French-speaking patients. His long-term goal is to obtain an advanced nursing degree.
