Preparedness: A Message from the Fire Chief
As your Fire Chief, my top priority is the safety and well-being of our community. With wildfire season becoming increasingly severe, it's critical that every resident takes proactive steps to prepare. Here's how you can help protect your family, property, and neighborhood:
Consider contacting Teton Conservation District for a free Wildfire Risk Overview: https://www.tetonconservation.org/wildfire-risk-management Clear dry vegetation, dead plants, and flammable debris at least 30 feet around your home. Trim trees, clean gutters, and keep lawns well-watered and maintained.
Use fire-resistant materials for roofing, siding, and vents. Seal gaps where embers could enter your home. Install spark arresters on chimneys.
*Remember to get TVAC approval before removing living trees or changing exterior materials.
3. Prepare an Emergency Kit 4. Have an Evacuation Plan
Have a go-bag ready with essentials: water, food, medications, important documents, clothing, and phone chargers. Always keep your kit accessible.
Know your evacuation routes & practice them with your family. Have a communication plan in place in case you are separated. Don't wait— leave early when told to evacuate.
5. HELP US - HELP YOU Ensure your address is clearly marked and visible from the road year-round.
Sign up for local emergency alerts and stay tuned to official sources for real-time updates. Follow directions from fire and emergency personnel without delay.
Teton_WY Alerts is a free, customizable public alert and warning service, helping you get important information quickly during disasters and emergencies in Teton County, Wyoming. https://member.everbridge.net/337829242601839/new
Together, we can reduce the risk of wildfire devastation. Your preparation makes a difference— not just for your home, but for the safety of the entire community. Stay alert. Stay prepared. Stay safe. Chief Jon Bishop

2024 Water Quality Report
It is our pleasure to share with you the 2024 Annual Drinking Water Quality Report.
TVWSD Operators strive to provide Village residents and visitors with top quality water year after year. District water is tested daily for chlorine residual to ensure safe drinking water.
tetonvillagewy.gov/residents/ water-quality-report/
Teton Village Water & Sewer June 2025 brought the completion of the fourth phase of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion. As part of the Fiscal Year, the District was able to capture an additional $984,084 in ARPA Grant funds, bringing the total grant funds received to $2,406,721 for this project.
Teton Village Special Fire District Spring of 2025 brought about a change in leadership for the TVSFD. Carlen Carney, first elected in 2008, announced her retirement in February. Carlen gifted the District with seventeen years of knowledge and experience, as well as knowledge from her mother's time with Teton Village Volunteer Fire Department. We are so grateful for her years of public service and leadership. The Board hopes to tackle challenges and projects, like a new fire station, in a way that makes Carlen proud; preserving all she and her family have done for the Fire District.
Closing out four years, Kamille Klomp transitioned out of her position in the residential office. We wish her the best in her future adventures.
