What is a Master Promissory Note (MPN)? A MPN is a legally binding contract that you sign, agreeing to repay the loan money you borrow. The MPN describes your rights and responsibilities as a student loan borrower.
What is Entrance Counseling? Entrance counseling is an online tutorial and quiz session to educate first-time borrowers, and takes roughly 25 minutes to complete. Returning students do not need to complete entrance counseling if they have borrowed a Federal Direct Loan in prior academic years.
Tiffin University participates in the Federal Direct Loan programs, which means all students receiving aid from this loan must complete a Master Promissory Note. Once you sign the MPN, a new MPN will not be required for any new Federal Loans for ten years. Items you will need to help you complete your MPN: 1. 2. 3. 4.
