LTG PREFACE

Hey Turquoise Turtles!

Happy September! The fall season has officially kicked off, which also means lots of things are in the works for KIWIN’S.

If you haven’t yet, be sure to pay your dues ASAP and encourage your fellow members to do so too! Without paying dues, you are unable to attend district events, have your service hours tracked, and a multitude of other benefits that come with being a KIWIN’S member.

The next few months are filled with our annual KIWIN’S Training Conference (KTC), Fall Rally South, and of course many service opportunities! Make sure to promote these amongst your club members to help them get involved - they are amazing opportunities to both gain service hours but also build our ohana!

Last but not least, a big shoutout to all the members and officers continuing to attend and participate in events despite our busy highschool schedules, I appreciate you all!

Thanks for reading!

Yours in Service, Sheila Corpuz

EDITORS NOTE

Hey Turquoise Turtles!

Happy September! We are officially in fall and almost a third of the way through school. I hope you guys had a good month and are excited for the upcoming events. This weekend we have Fall Rally and I hope most of you guys are coming! It should be very fun as we are chanting our spirit cheers and have Knotts Berry farm afterwards! Be sure to get to the bus on time because if not we will leave without you.

Thanks for reading!

Yours in Service, Victoria Luna

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT CLAIRE KIM

Claire Kim, a member of the Rancho Campana

KIWIN’S club, has been involved for 4 years. During her time, she has served as both Vice President and President. Lately, she has been listening to "Chihiro" by Billie Eilish on repeat.

Claire first got into KIWIN’S because a weird turtle running around the quad caught her attention, leading her to sign up. Her favorite KIWIN’S memory is gluing flowers onto rose floats. Even though her back almost gave out, the fun of chatting and intricately placing flowers for hours made it all worth it. Her advice to new KIWIN’S members is: don’t be afraid to take initiative and step out of your comfort zone. She wouldn’t be where she is today if she hadn’t.
