Bringing Boraid TBM products to market Nov 2021

raylor Bros. has selected Strata Worldwide as its exclusive distribution partner in bringing its Boraid® line of TBM products to the greater tunneling marketplace. Previously not sold directly, the Boraid® line of soil conditioners, polymers and shield sealants will be available to tunnel builders everywhere, beginning in North America. Chris Hebert, TraylorBros. Vice President and Underground Division Manager, said that “tunnel contractors have recognized the value in procuring our Traylor Precast segmental liners for their projects for more than 20 years. With the Boraid® line, we recognize similar quality and performance that will be of equal interest to the same customer base.”
Consultation and proposals are available immediately for existing and upcoming projects. Mike Rispin, Vice President of Strata Tunneling, said: “These technologies are complementary to the Strata portfolio of products that the industry is already aware of. Strata Tunneling now offering solutions on more fronts, thereby enhancing our value as a partner to tunnel constructors. Producing the Boraid® line in North America shortens the domestic supply chain, optimizes the freight component of costs, and offers lead time advantage to contractors.”

The user should expect better TBM advance rates, reduced cutterhead torque, less cutter wear, and reduced machine and maintenance downtime.”
