Finding your calling and a truly rewarding career takes time. That’s why the Rawls Career Management Center (CMC) works with undergraduate and graduate students from the moment they become Red Raiders – and why we’re still here even after they graduate.

We start with helping students PREP by providing career coaching, workshops and events to equip students for career success. Then we CONNECT our students with our employer partners to create networking and career opportunities. Throughout the recruitment process we focus on helping students GET HIRED by coordinating career fairs and on-campus interviews, and providing access to our online recruitment software, Handshake. Our ultimate goal is to help our students gain confidence and establish professional skills that will help them SUCCEED.

Handshake is our interactive online student recruitment software, available exclusively to Rawls College of Business students and alumni. Through the system, you are able to post internships, full-time jobs, and register for on-campus recruitment events. Engagement Opportunities Networking Events Throughout the semester, we invite employers to speak at our networking events. These opportunities build your brand and allow our students to strengthen their networking skills.

Etiquette Reception and Dinner The Rawls College of Business Etiquette Reception and Dinner is held each semester on the evening before the Rawls Career Fair. The event begins with a “Mocktail Reception� providing employers time to interact and network with many students. Attendees will then enjoy a seated dinner, etiquette presentation, and employer panel featuring a few of our CMC Corporate Sponsors.

Each table is assigned to one company, includes up to two seats for company representatives, and is matched with six students that match the major(s) your company is recruiting. The dinner is open to Rawls majors only.

Connection Sessions and Industry Tours We invite our employer partners to host connection sessions on campus to speak to students and alumni about your company culture and available positions. We can also help coordinate industry tours where a group of our students visit your facilities, learn about a typical day with your organization, and explore internship and full-time job opportunities.

Workshops, Career Panels, Mock Interviews We host events focused on a wide range of career topics.

We invite you to become an active part of these events to build your brand and contribute to the professional development of our students.

Recruitment Events CAREER FAIR

On average, more than

1,000 Rawls students attend the career fair each semester.

Held each spring and fall, the career fair connects Rawls students and alumni to internship and full-time job opportunities with our employer partners. All Rawls students and alumni are invited to attend and speak with recruiters and company representatives about career opportunities.

ON-CAMPUS INTERVIEWS Our office has interview rooms to accommodate your on-campus recruiting needs. Interviews can be scheduled and organized through our office at no charge. We also help coordinate virtual interviews when you are not able to come to campus. Interview schedules can be submitted directly through your Handshake account.

MAJOR-SPECIFIC EVENTS Accounting – Meet the Firms (Spring) Each spring, the School of Accounting and the Career Management Center host Meet the Firms, an on-site recruiting event attended by the top public accounting firms in the country. Students in their third year of the accounting program have the opportunity to interview for internship opportunities for the spring or summer semesters the following (senior) year, potentially turning into a full-time offer.

Energy Commerce – Meet the Industry (Fall) Meet the Industry is the recruiting process specifically designed for Energy Commerce students pursuing careers in the energy industry.

This series of events, hosted by the Center for Energy Commerce and the Career Management Center, connects students to energy companies of all sizes in an effort to secure internships and full-time opportunities after graduation. The process occurs during the fall semester each year. The Rawls College has formulated recruiting partnerships with an extensive list of prestigious energy companies representing all of the major energy centers.

Finance/Banking – Meet the Banks (Fall) Beginning in 2020, the Career Management Center will partner with the Excellence in Banking program to host Meet the Banks.

This recruiting process gives students in the banking program the opportunity to meet with representatives of various financial institutions to secure internships and full-time positions.

Supply Chain Management – Tech Supply Chain Association Breakfast (Spring and Fall) Before each semester’s career fair, Supply Chain Management students are invited to meet and network with recruiters from across the country. Set up as a round table discussion during breakfast, employer partners can network with Rawls students, talk about your company, and promote internship and job opportunities to students.
