As the school year presses on, Seton life gets more and more crazy. Freshmen meet more friends, Sophomores gain more freedom from home and Juniors

• are finally upperclassmen.

Seniors, well they are almost finished with all their required education, and taking their lives into their own hands.

All in all, Turn It Up!

Spicing things up

This year we have made great strides in technology for Seton. We have new compute rs, new printers, and things are running smoothly!

I am so proud of the Senior class this year and their promising futures in co ll ege. I know they will go far and be successful in whatever career or college they choose.

This has been an exciting year to teach. tudents have a great sense of enthusiam and interest, which is such a reward for me.

who's in trouble this time?

Adding two more detentions to his school-leading amount, he says," All challengers are welcome, if you think you can dethrone the king of detention!"

Blah, blair, blah ....

Freshmen Billy hepard gets caught by Mr.Yarnevich. " How was I supposed to know you get a detention for lighting farts with the Bunsen Burner?" Says Billy. Obviously eniors Danny Walsh and arlos Villicana, along with Junior Ted Pattock, didn't know that "guns" aren't allowed at school. How about you holster those firearm's boys. Senior Josh Wray is the perfect example of a detention waiting to happen. He has multiple things wrong with his dress code. First, no hats allowed during chool.

econd, shirts must be tucked in, no one wants to see your boxers Josh! The new Dean of Discipline, Mr. Yarnevich, has adapted well to the role of Dean. When it comes to detention, he is a stickler for the rules. o matter what the excuse a detention-bound student gives, no one will be acquitted. Mr. Yarnevich's victims for the day await their sentencing. Their puni hments will be a five-paragraph essay and forty-five quality minutes with Mr. Yarnevich. Have fun!

Taking it Up w ard in th eir action s

The Sophomore religion classes are definately fun-filled, exciting and very informative. the cu rricu Iurn is based a round the hi<;tory of the Church. Perhaps the highlight os Sr. jeanne's class is the reinactment of the Inquisition. The students get a role and it helps them to

fully grasp the information and have fun at the same timel Sophomore religion has expanded thi<; year with the addition of Mr. Heric. All his students agree that his class is one of their favorites. The sophomores learned more about their religion hie year by

relating church history to their lives. With out this informati\ e year the sophomores could in no way be ready for the morality classes that come later on at Seton.

Stepping Up

The Junior class takes charge in their faith.

The J unior Class has continued to show t heir leadership in their faith this year. The Junior class re l igion department was headed up by Mrs. Lal iberte with World Religions and Christian Morality. She is not new to Seton but is coming back after a year b reak. Said to be one of the

Turning the Pages ofthe Math Book .. .And turning around that grade!

Math

Help! To most, math cla ss has alwa ys seemed to be one of the challenging classe s . However, with teacher s like Dr. Krings, the most difficult can be achievable. Math takes practice, a lot of hard work and dedication; especially if you ' re shooting for that " A " in the class. Here students at Seton are showing not onl y their anxieties , and possible s tres s, but al s o thei r highes t le v el of e ffort.

"Suppose you have $20,000 to invest. If part is invested at 6 % and the rest at 16 °1o, how much hould be inve ted at each rate to y ield 15 % on the total amount invested, and what is the total amount y ou will earn? mmm ..... Do y ou get this," a s k Junior Stephani Deboivoise

For Junior Christine Slomski, College Algebra was ju t a little too much for her this year . Since, she wa already a tep ahead of everyone else in the junior class, in Algebra II, she decided to take a break from math thi s y ear, and wait around ' til enior year to take it.

Coach Matt enjoys "getting d1rty" on the field with his team . Th } have been known to play "shirts and skins," which is always a favorite of the fans.

Kevin Edwards, the starting center mid, says it took a lot of hard work and determination to get wh re he ' s at, but hi teammates say that he till need a lot of work . Ouch.

Mario Beltran fights gravity as well as his opponents in order to keep the ball, and to keep from falling. This hard work is evident in all of the player , which is probably why they have had such a uccessful season.

Junior Ke\'in Hubbard uses his quick athletic skills to push his opponent out of the way. The onl:. thing he enjoys more than s {Hing goals 1s watching Kutz ' \ 1cton dances

John Tobin io., excellent both in the goal and scoring on the goal. Howe\ er , when he ' s not busy playing , he 1s usuallj found doing pull-ups on the goal posts or practicing h1s handstands His commenthe does this to keep in shape for hb dates. junior Auo.,tm Perr'r, one of the ladies' fa\'orites, always makes soccer look like a walk in the park - whether during practice or in a game.

Stopper Will Bessette, although small, IS the team captain and " head honcho " of the team. He is also the only senior, and has loved playing soccer for the pa t four years .

Junior Ryan Kutzbach love the attention that hi "big guns" give him As a starting defender, he loves to remind Tyler Wolf that every time Ty makes a shot at the goal, the other team get a throw in t least he ' s honest.

Little Korte, also known as "ripped studling" is one of the starting defenders, and is also one of the youngest starters on th team. o one can argue that he' not a true athlete, but orne could argue that he's crazy.

You have always been a special child. By the time you were three you had already shown us what we might expect of you as you grew into a young woman.

We saw that you would be comforted by silkiness and a familiar fragrance.

It was clear you would have a fondness for animals and would enjoy accessorizing with friends.

You showed us that you would be studious. We could see that you would have an affinity for soccer and tall men.

It appeared that although you might be inept in the kitchen, you would truly enjoy the fruits of others labors.

Most importantly, we could see that you would know how to keep you mouth under control when necessary.

You have met all of our expectations and more.

We love you!

It seems like only yesterday when you came into the world this perfect little boy. and I ktssed your little hand. I couldn't help but nottce the "cov. hcb" on both s1des of hatr. sttcking up like two little horns. I remember thinking, "uh oh, this could mean trouble."

I remember holding your little hand on the fiN day of school and you looked at me with those btg brown eyes and asked. "How many days of my life will I have to go here?"

I remember how my heart would ache when you were hurt or when you struggled when things dtdn 't go as planned. II of your strength and determination have gotten you \\here you are today- A enior!! Believe in yourself as much as your dad and I believe m you and you will go far!!

There is nothing like an old friend. With old friends, the only requirement is that you be yourself. You can say whatever is on your mind and do whatever you feel like doing. You never have to worry because you know your friendship is not based on perfection, but on respect and acceptance.

You ' ve Only Ju-.t Begun

Now that you are almost grown, we look back and ask ourselves, did we tell you? Did we tell you all that we meant to tell you, all that we felt was 1mportant. Did we tell you to be bold, to be not afra1d of the unknown, but to live life to the fullest, and meet each new experience w1th joy and ant1c1pat1on. And did we tell you to be cautious, to temper your daring sense of ad1ten1ture l l with good judgement and consideration. Did we tell you these things as we went along the way? Did we tell you to laugh, to dance to sing? There is a lot in life that is hard, but take it as it comes and find good. If it has meaning, accept it and make it your own. If it does not, discard it. Your life is yours to build as your choose. And did we tell you we have enjoyed watching you grow from that first day of kindergarten to this last day of your senior year. We watch as you go and we wish you all of the success in the world. And did we tell you? We love you!!!
