Homecoming at Seton traditionally comes at the end of Spirit Week when school pride is on display. Spirit activities in 1983 began w1th Costume Day, which just happened to coincide with a traditional day for costumesHalloween.
Among Spirit Week activities in ' 83 were tho s e spotlighting the Class of ' 84 and the Class of ' 87 Each freshman was required to wear a demeaning sign and to serve as a slave t0 a senior for a day
The tables were turned on Senior Slave Day, when seniors were auctioned off and made to act as slaves to underclassmen willing to pay for the privilege of being masters for a day
Class rivalries were set aside to prepare for the Homecoming itself, as freshmen and seniors, sophomores and juniors worked together to build floats to be displayed and judged at halftime of the big game
Upperclassmen also mingled with underclassmen at the evening rally and bonfire the night before the game.
Spirit Week concluded with volleyball and football games against Scottsdale Christian, the halftime coronation of royalty, and the annual Homecoming Dance.
Reigning over the events as 1984 Homecoming King and Queen were seniors David Walker and Renae Richardson.
