Our School Burns
Early on the morning of September 12, 1980, arson caused fire destroyed two of Seton's three classroom buildings.
Eight classrooms, books, lockers, equipment and even a hamster may have been destroyed, but the spirit of all those involved with Seton has grown in strength.
Many have volunteered time and effort to enlarge the building fund in order for Seton to rise again.
The Diocese has decided to relocate Seton centrally to serve Tempe, Mesa and Chandler, and the new school is eventually expected to have 500 students. Perhaps the fire was a blessing disguise.

Hunger Simu lation
At lunch time, Mr. Bischoff and Ms. Bockius tried an experiment called Hunger Simulation. This was a model of the world's wealth in food. The students and faculty were assigned to the First, Second, or Third World, and given a certain amount of chips to buy their lunches. The First World received the most chips, while the Third World received the least. As a result of the Hunger Simulation some students shared their food with others. Most of the Third World revolted, stealing any food they could in order to survive. By the end of the lunch hour the student and faculty were grateful they live in the United States.
