HOMECOMING: VICTORY OVER COUGARS!

On October 12, which was Homecoming, the Sentinels fom1d themselves facing the Judson Cougars. Our first score came on a 12-yard run by wingback Fred Buelna. A two point conversion put Seton out in front, 8-6, at the close of the first period. In the second quarter the Sentinels scored twice; a 55-yard pass from QB Fred Ruhland to WB Terry Ryan, and a 12-yard run by Buelna. This gave our Sentinels a 20-6 lead. In the fourth quarter, Ruhland crossed the goal line on 1 one -yard quarterback sneak. He then added two points when he hit Russell Renna with an aerial for the PAT conversion. In the closing minutes of the game, Buel.1.a's 60-yard TD rm1 was called back on a clipping penalty making the final score 28-12 with Big Red on top once again. Ryan and Buelna were named outstanding offense players and Tom Ryan led in defense.

Smile Coach, We Won! Fred Ruhland attempts to break loose from a strong tackle with the help of Pat Ruwart and Carlos Martinez.
