THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION Physical education is the cornerstone of a well-rounded education, offering numerous benefits that extend far beyond the playground or gymnasium. It plays a crucial role in the overall development of children, and its transformative power is particularly evident for children with special needs. These children often face unique challenges that can impact their physical, social, and emotional well-being. The advantages of participating in physical education are particularly profound as it fosters their physical development, social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Incorporating inclusive and adaptive physical education programs can unlock the potential of children with special needs in various ways, and was the driving force for us to resume our weekly Football session in October, coached by amazing volunteer couches who witnessed the myriad of benefits physical education can bring to children with special needs and its transformative power in enhancing their overall well-being.

ALC GEMS AT TCAF ART & CRFAT EXPO
For the past eight years, the children have been involved in arts and crafts every Friday during the school year and for the first time in the school’s history, we will be placing some of these items up for sale at the TCAF 14th Annual Art and Craft Expo, held at the Salt Mills parking lot on the 2nd & 3rd of December, 2023. One of our Volunteer Coach teaching the importance of a proper warm up routine.
Practice makes perfect!
In the previous years we have used these gems from our children as “thank you” presents and were amazed at how blown away the recipients were by the quality of the items and how grateful they were for such gifts from our talented students, that we felt it only fitting to share this joy with the rest of TCI during the season of giving. Come out and support our children at the event and grab a keepsake that will last a lifetime.
