Input sought for action plan on Domestic Violence

Consultations for a National Domestic Violence Action Plan were held on Waiben and Badhu last week. Their work will be incorporated into the Draft National Domestic Violence Action Plan, expected to be finalised by mid-year.

Geiza Stow facilitated the sessions with Professor Muriel Bamblett OA and a number of federal government representatives. They sought input from local stakeholders about how issues of remoteness, cost of living, access to support services and the need for more place based solutions impacted the rate of Domestic Violence in our communities.
