Hammer leads in Dally M

M Continued from P1

Dashing fullback Hamiso picked up the maximum six points for his dominating performance, backing up his outstanding effort the previous week when he snared two points in an upset win over the Sydney Roosters.

Two other Torres Strait Islander players, Newcastle Knight Dane Gagai and Brisbane Bronco Ezra Mam, also received votes in round two.

Dane was awarded five points for a wonderful effort in the Knights 14-12 victory over the West Tigers. Ezra polled three votes in the victory by the Broncos over the North Queensland Cowboys.

Hamiso has eight votes in total, leading five players from four other clubs on seven.

Dane is amongst several players sitting on equal fourth and Ezra is with a group on equal fifth, which includes Cowboys forward Reuben Cotter.

Another Torres Strait Islander player, David Fifita, didn’t poll in his side’s loss to the St George Dragons.

However David starred the previous week in round one and is on six points amongst the equal third placed group.
