During my first-year graduate plan-making studio, my team drafted a comprehensive plan for Dolton, Illinois. We envisioned Dolton as a post-industrial suburb that is sustainable and resilient to a shifting economy and changing climate. Dolton has its unique position at the intersection of the South Suburbs and Chicago. This plan prioritized equity and inclusive growth through transportation, housing, natural resources, economic development, and land use.
