Collaborative work Contribution: Economic Study, Health Facility Accessment, Poster Design The “Model Minority” myth has tainted the experiences of millions of Asian Americans throughout the country. By painting all Asian Americans as successful, highly educated and wealthy, the disparities that exist within these communities are suppressed. Largely due to the prevalence of this problematic myth, social and economic justice research for Asian Americans have been minimal and have only started to emerge in recent years. This literature review is intended to shed some light on these pertinent issues and, through the use of ArcGIS, connect and visualize relevant data through mapings.
