The Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men from South Carolina last week in connection with the larceny of two golf carts and a lawnmower from White Oak Golf and Equestrian Community development in the Green Creek area. occured last Thursday after sheriff’s officers found a vehicle that was identified as the vehicle that allegedly left the scene. The robberies occurred sometime last July at the proposed development in the Green Creek community. One golf cart has been recovered and the sheriff’s office is in the process of tracking down the whereabouts of the other golf cart. The zero turn lawnmower, valued at approximately $10,000, was also recovered last week. As of last Friday, Carr had been released from jail on a $2,500 bond and Griffin was still in jail under a $5,000 bond.
