“Whole Healing” Health and Wellness Ministry Meeting Saturday, May 12, 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm Campus Center (#1 on EMU map) rm. 229 (second floor)

Just as God gives us free will to choose eternal life in Jesus Christ, He also gives us free will to choose to care for our bodies through the choices we make. Take the first step to caring for your temple of the Holy Spirit by coming to the kickoff meeting of Whole Healing, Truro's first health and wellness ministry dedicated to healing through natural lifestyle approaches. Led by Truro member Melissa Messner, Whole Healing wants to equip you and your family with wisdom, resources and tools to enhance health as well as tackle and reduce risk of illness. We'll address your specific challenges and “hot” health topics in our western culture such as food allergies, celiac disease, gluten intolerance, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, ADD/ADHD, obesity, arthritis, diabetes, and Parkinson’s/Alzheimer’s disease. This healing mission is grounded in biblical principles and supported by Seven Pillars of Whole Healing: Nourishing Foods, Healthy Cooking, Conscientious Eating, Clean Living, Building Brain and Body power, Rest and Relaxation, and Holistic Therapies. What's the game plan for the kickoff meeting? - We’ll simply define the Seven Pillars of Whole Healing and lay the foundation for the fall program beginning in September - You’ll tantalize your taste buds with delicious organic fresh foods and sparkling refreshments - We’ll set a date for a mid-summer excursion to a local farmers' market - you'll leave the gathering with a Produce Shopping Guide in hand to help you make healthier purchasing decisions on your next trip to the market What can you expect at the fall meeting? - Dynamic, inspiring, and knowledgeable guest speakers - More taste tasting of beautiful, nourishing, natural foods - Eye opening visual aids and media presentations - Recipe swaps; resources from books to magazines and DVDs; practitioner referrals - Excursions to grocery stores, farmers' markets and restaurants - healing through encouragement, support, listening, learning, self discovery and prayer We prayerfully look forward to walking the path of healing together with you and your family. If you have any questions, please contact Melissa. Email: melissamessner@yahoo.com Cell: 571-212-8345 1 Cor. 6:19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
