The GENEPLUS partners, as well as our commercial customers that have consigned females to this offering, continually strive to offer the industry the highest quality and most genetically superior commercial females available. We utilize the majority of tools available to us such as AI’ing to the most genetically superior calving ease bulls, the utilization of genetics that have been parent verified, many of which have genomically enhanced EPD’s, plus data compilation and transfer to the IBBA from birth to weaning to more accurately identify the lineage of the genetics behind this offering. We do, however, in no way quantify the progeny of these commercial genetics to be kept as intact males for use as sires in the industry. We are definitely proud of what we are offering, and without a doubt feel they are an asset to generate increased productivity for the programs purchasing them. It is our belief that for the beef industry to stay competitive with the other protein sources available that the male progeny from this genetic pool being offered do not meet the standards necessary to move our industry forward to use as breeding bulls and should be made steers as we intended.
