Northwestern Football Prospects by: Amber Cook & Morgan Vittatoe

The Northwestern football team has proved itself this season to be one of the most impressive teams in the nation. They have taken over the 4A region by storm and have managed to stay undefeated all year. Northwestern is proud to say that their students and athletes are getting attention from many different universities. Russell Hubbs, linebacker for Northwestern, has gotten offers from three different schools so far and is eager to commit and make his decision on where he is going to school by this Thanksgiving. He is now between his three choices; The Citadel, Limestone, and Campbell. He is hopeful to get more offers before he makes his final decision. Corey Seargent, who plays free safety, has been presented with at least seven different offers by the following schools; Nebraska, ECU, University of Massachusetts, University of North Carolina, Appalachian, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, and Charleston Southern. These two players have star potential and are quickly accumulating much attention. Not only is this good for these amazing players, it is also good for Northwestern’s growing football program. The school is excited about their season and the team’s chances at reaching the State Championship this year. It is said by a fellow teammate, “We have great potential and could win it all.” Northwestern needs all the support they can get. could get so they can bring it all the way to state.

Seargent and Hubbs have worked h ard to help lead the Trojans to a winning season.
