Gravity Review By Nolan Hansen

In the film, both characters struggle to stay together as they look for a way to get back to Earth.

Though the autumn season is usually a slow time for the movie industry, Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity has been getting fantastic reviews, and making some producers rethink if it really matters when they release their movies. The film stars George Clooney as Matt Kowalski and Sandra Bullock as Ryan Stone. In the movie, these two veteran actors are seen trying to survive after a catastrophe happens while they are on a mission to repair the Hubble space telescope. In every scene this movie is intense, and moviegoers will be on their seat’s edge for the full hour and a half. Aside from the powerful story line, the movie also does an incredible job of conveying what it would actually be like to try to survive in the depths of space, so well that even retired astronaut Mark Kelly claimed that the films depiction of space is “remarkably close” compared to other space themed movies. On another note, the acting in the movie is simply fantastic, especially seeing that the actors had to do it while being in awkward positions. Overall, gravity is a fantastic movie, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good movie to see in this otherwise slow movie season.
