If you want a break from the show and the attractions on Clematis Street, consider organizing a crew outing — or go solo — to explore the Palm Beaches. The area has plenty to offer, from great dining to entertainment options.
While Clematis Street offers a varied selection of bars and restaurants for every palate, consider venturing farther afield to sample the area’s local cuisine. Check ahead — some higher-end options may be tough to get into, but are worth the wait if you have time.
The Blue Door opens for dinner most evenings. This “coastal bistro” on South Dixie Highway offers a menu inspired by Southern Europe, making it a great option for splurges.
If you’re inspired to sample some French bistro fare with a South Florida spin, Le Bilboquet — Bilbo — on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach is worth considering.
Buccan, with James Beard-nominated chef Clay Conley at the helm, has gone viral for its sandwich shops. Dine in on most days or pick up from the Buccan sandwich shop if you need some easy lunch options to give the chef a day off.
For a classic Palm Beach experience, don’t miss HMF at The Breakers. This social club offers a chance to dress in your cocktail chic to enjoy an extensive selection of wine and cocktails, along with delicious food.
If you want to stay true to your marine roots, Lamarina, overlooking the water at Safe Harbor Rybovich, is a popular dinner choice. It offers Mediterranean, Latin, and Asian flavors and features a full sushi and raw bar.
Enjoy some fresh air and sunshine at The Park, a golf course in West Palm Beach known for its all ages and all talent levels approach. If you’re a newbie or simply looking to improve your game, The Park also offers lessons.
For a quieter experience, the Norton Museum of Art exhibits collections of European, American, Chinese, and contemporary art and photography. Discover the latest exhibitions, or if you’re lucky with the timing, sign up for one of the museum’s art classes, workshops, or lectures. Daily tours are also available to see the museum’s highlighted collection.
Chefs, if you’re a farmer’s market connoisseur, the popular WPB GreenMarket on North Clematis Street is open every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. until April 26. (It will be closed during the boat show.) Seize the chance to grab some fresh, seasonal produce.
Check out Treehouse, a “magical oasis” on the 13th floor of the Canopy by Hilton in downtown West Palm Beach. It offers a stunning skyline view and daytime relaxation by the pool before transforming into a cocktail lounge with DJs in the evening. Stop by on March 22 for Reggae Night on the Rooftop from 7 p.m. You might also want to visit the winter White House and visit Mar-a-Lago to try to catch a glimpse of President Donald Trump in residence.
Want to get closer to nature? Just 30 minutes away in Juno Beach is the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, a nonprofit dedicated to ocean and sea turtle conservation. Visitors can explore the center or get hands-on in one of the center’s Eco Experiences, which include hiking, guided turtle walks, or watching turtle hatchlings.
