TRINITY’S HALL OF FAME was created to recognize and appropriately honor achievements of individuals or groups who have made outstanding contributions to the programs of Trinity School. Alumni, faculty, and friends of Trinity nominated several candidates for the newly formed Hall of Fame. After prayerful consideration, the Hall of Fame nominating committee elected the 2014 class.

MR. JOHN ALBRITTON, JR.

INAUGURAL INDUCTEES

Mr. Albritton has served on the Trinity Board of Trustess numerous times, including the very first Board in 1970. He has held the position of President of the Board twice and is currently a member of the Trinity School Charitable Trust committee.

MR. BILL JOSEPH

The first President of the Board in 1970, Mr. Joseph’s leadership was instrumental in creating Trinity as an independent Christian school. He has served the school tirelessly over the decades in many capacities.

MR. PAT WILLIAMS, SR. MR. RAYMOND BOYKIN Mr. Boykin was the first Headmaster of Trinity School, serving from 1970 to 1975, as well as a beloved math teacher and football coach. He retired from teaching in 1991.

An avid supporter of Trinity School since its inception, Mr. Williams served on the Board of Trustees numerous times as well as the architect of the original school building and additions throughout the years.

DR. ROBERT STRONG

Coach Chafin became Trinity’s first Athletic Director in 1982, and helped set Trinity on the path of athletic success that the program has enjoyed over the last 30 years.

Dr. Strong led the vision of an independent Christian School in Montgomery during his tenure as Senior Minister of Trinity Presbyterian Church and guided the session in making Trinity School a reality.

MR. JOHN (JACK) NOBLE One of the founding Board members of Trinity Presbyterian School, Mr. Noble has previously served as a Board member for numerous years and as well as Board President. He generously built the first phase of Trinity School at its current location at cost.

The National Junior Honor Society and the National Honor Society Induction The National Junior Honor Society Induction was held on Friday, January 24, while the National Honor Society Induction occurred on Tuesday, April 8. Both events hosted in Willett Hall included an induction ceremony and a brief reception afterwards for parents and new inductees.

Membership in the National Junior Honor Society is one of the highest honors that can be awarded a student. This organization strives to recognize the student who excels in scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship. Students considered for membership must achieve the required cumulative grade point average.

at SMU, Julia had the opportunity to intern at the George W. Bush Presidential Center as well as the office of Senator Jeff Sessions in Washington, D.C. She spent a few months working on a political campaign before moving to Washington, D.C. to work at the Republican National Committee for the remaining 2012 election cycle. She has been working at a political consulting firm in D.C. since April of 2013. EMI RAYCRAFT attended the University of Alabama on a Presidential Scholarship. She graduated in 2011 Summa Cum Laude from the Honors Program with a degree in Biology. Upon graduation, she began her postgraduate work at Harrison School of Pharmacy at Auburn University. Emi began her final year of pharmacy school in May 2014 concluding with clinical rotations in Montgomery and Auburn. She contributes her success to hard work, dedication, and principles taught to her by the wonderful teachers and staff at Trinity. MARY CAM CARLSON ‘08 and ZACH SHAW were married this past December 2013 and live in Montgomery.

Mary Cam is the Youth Ministry Assistant at Trinity Church and Zack is an insurance agent with Allstate.

KRISTEN STALLINGS ‘09 and WILLIAM VAN HOOSER were married on June 29, 2013 and live in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. FRANK YOUNG works with the Department of Defense as a nuclear engineer in Seattle, Washington. He attended Auburn University on a Founder’s scholarship where he majored in Chemical Engineering and graduated magnum cum laude.

2009 EMILY COX and TYLER MOORE were married on June 29, 2013 and live in Birmingham, Alabama.

KYLE SHAW were married on June 15, 2013 and live in Roseville, California on Beale Air Force Base. Stevie is a CPA—Tax Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Kyle is a 2nd Lt. United States Air Force— Space: UEWR (upgraded early warning radar) Crew Commander. He is also a Distinguished Graduate of the U.S. Air Force Space 100 and UEWR training. WILSON VAN HOOSER signed a free agent contract with the New England Patriots. Wilson transferred to Troy for the 2013 season after beginning his college career at Tulane. The 6-foot, 197-pounder was a three-year letter winner for Tulane, finishing with 55 receptions for 805 yards and nine touchdowns. Last season at Troy, he played in 10 games and finished with 13 receptions for 188 yards and two

touchdowns and returned 15 kicks for 237 yards.

2010 MARK HERTENSTEIN recently graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences Honors Program at Boston College. He was a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, and Alpha Sigma Nu—an exclusive honor society for Jesuit Catholic universities. He was also an officer with the University Chorale of Boston College. He completed the University Research Fellowship with Boyd Taylor Coolman, Professor of Medieval Theology at Boston College in the fall of 2013. Mark was recently accepted into the GordonConwell Theological Seminary. ANNE CAROLINE THOMPSON has been dancing with Alabama Ballet for three years as an apprentice and was recently offered a contract performing six shows a season around Alabama, including classical ballets and contemporary works. She also teaches at Encore Performance Company instructing 6-14 year-olds ballet technique.

REBECCA YOUNG recently graduated from Vanderbilt University, where she majored in chemistry and competed on the swim team. She attended Vandy on academic and athletic scholarships. Rebecca will attend medical school this upcoming fall.

2011 Since graduating from Trinity, HADEN ELLIS has been studying at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. She has a double major in history and Spanish. Last semester, Haden studied abroad in Madrid, Spain in a language immersion program through Furman. The program allowed her to travel all across Spain, studying linguistic and cultural differences in the different regions. Upon graduation, Haden

plans on attending law school at Furman.

SHEA SUMMERLIN is a junior at Samford University studying chemistry. In addition to being a Beeson scholarship recipient, which covers all tuition and fees, she serves the university as a Samford Ambassador. Last year she studied in London, England for a semester and in Grenoble, France for the summer. She was selected to represent the university as Miss Samford, a preliminary to Miss Alabama and Miss America. Shea paid a visit to Trinity in January.
