Bus Service Guidelines and Agreement Informaon for Students and Parents
The College provides a bus service to assist families transporng their children to and from school.
These Bus Service Guidelines are designed to:

• make it clear to students and parents/guardians that responsible and respecul behaviour is expected when students travel on buses
• ensure the safety and well-being of school children, other bus passengers, road users and bus drivers.
Student Code of Conduct on Buses
The following Code of Conduct sets out acceptable standards of behaviour for students travelling on Trinity buses. Students are expected to follow these guidelines to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers, including themselves, and the driver. If the guidelines are not followed, it may lead to a suspension or removal of the student from this service.
Behaviour on buses:
Students are expected to exercise the highest standard of courtesy and behaviour whilst travelling to school on buses. The following rules apply:
• Students must remain seated during transit and wear their seat belts at all times.
• No objects are to be thrown in or from the bus at any time.
• Noise levels from students are to be of a safe and acceptable level. Shoung is not permitted.
• Students using headphones / earphones must ensure the sound is heard by them, only.
• Students must respect the bus and bus property. Parents will be responsible for the cost of repairs resulng from wilful damage to the bus by their child. In such cases, students will forfeit the use of the bus service unl the damage has been invoiced and repairs completed.
• Students should not call out inappropriately or signal to any person outside the bus at any time.
• Students will not eat food, or bring any items prohibited at school, onto the bus.
• Students must not use inappropriate language or verbally abuse anyone on or outside the bus.
• Students must follow instrucons given by the driver
Pick-up and drop off
• A parent should be standing at the pickup/drop off point to meet their child (applies to younger children) when getting on and off the bus. This means at the bus stop, not in vehicles on opposing sides of the road.
• Parents must supervise their own child's behaviour and not rely on other parents to undertake this task.
• The driver will not be able to leave students at the stop (especially the younger children) without an adult being present. If there is no adult present, the student will be returned to school and from where they must be collected.
• Students should be ready and waing at the designated stop at least 5 minutes before the allocated me – the bus driver will leave within 30 seconds if students do not arrive. A small delay by each family adds significantly to the overall bus trip me and will result in the bus arriving late to school.
• Due to safety reasons, buses are restricted to set bus stops only.
