Vaivém Oceanário em São Jorge Shuttle Oceanarium in S. Jorge

uma iniciativa do Município de Velas, esteve na ilha de São Jorge o Vaivém Oceanário – Educação Ambiental em Movimento, um projeto do Oceanário de Lisboa, através do qual se pretende promover atividades lúdicas e pedagógicas e alertar todos os públicos e todas as idades para a importância de alterar os comportamentos para com o meio ambiente e de pro-
teger o património natural. O Município pretendeu, assim, sensibilizar e consciencializar as crianças e jovens das escolas e instituições do concelho e da ilha, bem como a população em geral, para a necessidade urgente de mudança de atitudes, com vista à conservação e sustentabilidade dos recursos. n an initiative of the municipality of Velas, there was in São Jorge island the shu le Aquarium – environmental education in motion, a project of the Lisbon Oceanarium, which aims to promote recreational and pedagogical activities and warn all audiences and all ages about the importance of changing behaviours towards the environment and protect the natural heritage.
The Municipality intended to raise awareness in children and young people in schools and institutions of the municipality and the island, as well as the general population, to the urgent necessity of changing a itudes, with assessment to the conservation and sustainability of resources.
