Indus Valley Civilization facts Archaeological finds indicate that only a few hundred years after the emergence of village communities in Baluchistan, settlements along the Indus River started urban living of that time. Dancing Girl of Mohan-jo Daro The 'Dancing Girl' is a sculpture made of bronze. It belongs to the Indus Valley Civilization and dates back to circa 2500 BCE. It is 10.5 cm in height, 5 cm in width and 2.5 cm in depth.


The dancing girl of Mohenjo-Daro is a tall figure with long legs and arms, high neck, subdued belly . This dancer wears some bangles and a necklace. She has 25 bracelets on her left arm and four bangles on her right arm and is holding an object in her left hand. Her long hair styled as big bun rested on her shoulder.

The Great Bath is one of the well-known structures among the ruins of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization at Mohenjo-daro in Sindh, Pakistan. Archaeological evidence show that the Great Bath was built in the 3rd millennium BCE, soon after the raising of the "citadel" mound on which it is located. It may have had a long bathing pool built with waterproof bricks. Most scholars agree that this tank would have been used for special religious functions where water was used to purify and renew the well being of the bathers.
