Safety equipment is placed and issued for a person’s protection and safety If you remove, deface, or tamper with safety device’s or equipment you may be in breach of legislation, and you may inadvertently cause an injury to one of your workmates. Thursday 14th September is R U OK Day, if you wish to bet involved please visit the web site. https://www.ruok.org.au/ Fire alarm at CQ activated because of heat generated by a wet/dry vacuum, Fire brigade attended and reset alarm system A Charter Vessel mast struck Camellia bridge structure, causing minor vessel damage, nil damage to bridge, AMSA report completed and forwarded Double gangway at CQ J2 has broken handrails, maintenance request sent to have handrail inspected and repaired Zip boil unit at CQ J2 not working correctly with potential to cause scold injury, issue escalated to wharf maintenance A small child fell from a pram whilst a crew member was helping a member of the public down the steps at North Sydney Wharf, - no injury was sustained by the child, however a timely reminder to be careful that we don’t endanger ourselves or others when being good Samaritans DAYS SINCE LAST LOST TIME INJURY HCF Overall LTI free days 17 DAYS SINCE LAST LOST TIME INJURY Balmain Shipyard Operations Current New Best Current Previous Best 501 501 17 168
