Dear Märklin and Trix Enthusiasts, after years of their absence, we take great pleasure in being able to present special ­export models once again for our international markets.

These export models differ from the standard program in that they are produced and ­delivered with priority for their respective markets. We therefore cannot say with absolute certainty whether inventory will still be available for general distribution after completion of the sales plans for the targeted countries. It is a strategic goal of our brands to gain more model railroaders for Märklin and Trix in Europe and the USA. Naturally, we cannot offer a complete cross section of all eras for every market. Therefore, we are concentrating on themes and models that are particularly dear to you (and to us) and are realizing these models with prototypical realism.

Därför försöker vi Your Märklin Team koncentrera oss på vissa teman och modeller som kan tänkas ligga Er (och oss!) närmast hjärtat, och göra dessa modeller så verklighetstrogna som möjligt.

Redan i huvudprogrammet presenteras ett The main program already presents ­numerous international new items. Among them are for example models of the U.P. “Big Boy”. Two limited series of the famous American F7 diesel locomotive, each series with 2,000 pieces, are a special feature in this brochure. This time in the colors of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad and the Kansas City Southern Railroad. Fans of nostalgic American locomotives can still experience these locomotives in real life.

Prototype: Belgian State Railways (SNCB/NMBS) class 96 tank locomotive, one Europ design gondola, a twoaxle low side car, and a “Shell” tank car, used on the Belgian State Railways (SNCB/NMBS).

Model: The locomotive has a digital decoder and a special motor with a flywheel. 3 axles powered. Traction tires. The triple headlights change over with the direction of travel, will work in conventional operation, and can be controlled digitally. The locomotive has many separately applied details. The low side car, the gondola, and the tank each have Relex couplers.

Model: The locomotive is constructed of metal and has a digital decoder and a special motor. 4 axles powered by means of cardan shafts. Traction tires. The triple headlights change over with the direction of travel, will work in conventional operation, and can be controlled digitally. The headlights are maintenance-free LEDs. The locomotive has 4 mechanically working pantographs (not wired for catenary operation). The low side car has stakes that can be folded down, end walls, and rectangular buffers. All of the cars have close couplers with guide mechanisms.

Prototype: Dutch State Railways (NS) bi-level commuter train consisting of a class 1700 electric locomotive with the road number 1711 and the coat-of-arms for “Emmen”, 1 type DDM2/3-ABv bi-level intermediate car, 1st/2nd class, 2 type DDM2/3-Bv bi-level intermediate cars, 2nd class, 1 type DDM2/3-Bvk bi-level cab control car, 2nd class. Yellow basic paint scheme. The looks as it currently does in real life.

Model: The general-purpose locomotive has an mfx digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It also has

controlled high-efficiency propulsion. 2 axles powered.

Traction tires. The triple headlights and dual red marker lights change over with the direction of travel, will work in conventional operation, and can be controlled digitally. The headlights and marker lights are maintenancefree LEDs. 1 close coupler is included with the train and can be installed at one end of the locomotive in place of the imitation automatic coupler. The bi-level cars have underbodies and skirting specific to the car types. All of the cars can have 7319 current-conducting couplings or 72020/72021 current-conducting couplers as well as

73400/73401 (3 per car) LED interior lights along with the 73406 pickup shoe installed on them. The cab control car‘s engineer‘s cab has interior details. The cab control car has triple headlights and dual red marker lights that change over with the direction of travel. The cab control car‘s headlights and marker lights are maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs. The cab control car has a detailed buffer beam with separately applied end skirting and an imitation of an automatic coupler.

37812 Freight Train Steam Locomotive with a Tender.

Prototype: Dutch State Railways (NS) class 4900 (former class 50) freight train steam locomotive, with a coal tender as standard design type 2´2´T26 box-style tender in its original design. With Wagner smoke deflectors, standard engineer‘s cab, long walkway that is angled at the front to the smoke box, DRG lanterns, and without an inductive magnet. Road number 4906. The locomotive looks as it did around at the end of the Forties.

Model: The locomotive has an mfx digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It has controlled high efficiency propulsion with a bell-shaped armature and a flywheel, mounted in the boiler. 5 axles powered.

Traction tires. The locomotive and the tender are constructed mostly of metal. A 7226 smoke generator can be installed in the locomotive. The dual headlights change over with the direction of travel. They and the smoke generator contact will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. The headlights are maintenance-free, warm white LEDs. There is a close coupling with a guide mechanism between the locomo-

tive and tender and it can be adjusted for curves. The front of the locomotive and the back of the tender has a close coupler in an NEM pocket with a guide mechanism. Minimum radius for operation is 360 mm / 14-3/16“.

Piston rod protectors and brake hoses are included.

Med rökskärmar typ Wagner, förarhytt av standardtyp, långt gångbord framtill, snett nedåtriktad vid rökskåpet, med strålkastare/lyktor av riksbanornas standardtyp. Driftsnummer 4906. Som loket såg ut i slutet av 1940-­talet.

Modell: Med mfx digital-dekoder och många olika ljudfunktioner. Reglerbar högeffektsdrivning med klockankarmotor och svänghjul i ångpannan. Drivning på 5 axlar.

Slirskydd. Lok och tender tillstörsta delen tillverkade av metall. Förberett för röksats 7226. Två frontstrålkastare med ljusväxling och röksats tillkopplade vid analog/konventionellkörning. De kan kopplas på och av vid digital drift. Strålkastare med underhållsfria varmvita lysdioder (LED). För olika kurvradier omställbart kulisstyrt koppel mellan lok och tender. Kulisstyrda kortkoppel i NEMkoppelfickor baktill på tendern och framtill på loket. Kan

köras på räls med en minsta kurvradie av 360 mm.

Interchangeable truck transport units lettered for the freight forwarder VAT Logistics BV. The cars look as they do in Era VI. Model: The cars have type Y 25 trucks. They also have prototypically partially open car floors constructed of metal with striking fish belly external side sills. Each flat car comes loaded with 2 each interchangeable truck transport units. Support stands for the interchangeable truck transport units are included separately. All of the cars have different car numbers and come individually packaged. There is also a master package.

Vagnarna lastade med vardera 2 lastväxlarflak. Stödben för lastväxlarflaken medföljer separat. Alla vagnar med olika driftsnummer. Alla vagnarna levereras separat förpackade i en gemensam box.

Prototype: Former Dutch State Railways (NS) class 1200 heavy general-purpose locomotive. Version as a privately owned locomotive painted and lettered for the firm EETC, used in switching work and special runs. L­ ocomotive road number 1254, locomotive name “J. Hoekwater”. With promotional lettering for the ­anniversary of 80 years of the NVBS. Crimson basic paint scheme. The locomotive looks as it currently does in real life.

Model: The locomotive has an mfx digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It also has controlled highefficiency propulsion. 2 axles powered. Traction tires.

The triple headlights and dual red marker lights change over with the direction of travel, will work in conventional operation, and can be controlled digitally. The headlights are maintenance-free warm white LEDs and the marker lights are maintenance-free red LEDs. The headlights at Locomotive End 1 and 2 can be turned off digitally separately from each other. The locomotive has separately applied metal grab irons. USA / USA Loewy‘s Crocodile.

In the 30’s in the middle of the deepest depression, the Pennsylvania Railroad PRR ventured to electrify their main routes in the eastern United States. This ­immense project included the repair and reinforcement of railway track, construction of new tunnels with greater clearance, as well as the integration of commuter lines. The first stretch extended from Washington via Baltimore, Wilmington, and Philadelphia to Penn Station in New York (including the commuter lines under the Hudson River). All that was missing was the suitable locomotive; up to that point the PRR’s long distance passenger trains were steam-powered. A

multi-year test phase was begun. At the end of the tests a prototype built by General Electric and Baldwin in 1934 with a 4-6-6-4 wheel arrangement was declared the winner. The GG-1‘s data was impressive: 6 twin motors (a pair for each axle) put out a total of 3,445 kilowatts / 4,620 horsepower with peaks even exceeding 5,965 kilowatts / 8,000 horsepower. The pilot truck wheel diameter was 1.45 meters / 57 inches, the total weight 208 tons / 460,000 pounds, the length 23 meters / 79 feet 6 inches. The GG-1 reached speeds of 145 km/h / 90 mph. containers in Penn Station New York. The result was so impressive that he was invited to make a few suggestions for the design of the GG-1.

Raymond Loewy pursued the task with thorough precision. Instead of the coarse, riveted superstructure assemblies of the prototype, he came up with a smoothsurface design. He provided an elegant, dynamic package for the mighty power of this machine. The superstructure assemblies gave the effect of being cast as single unit. They are harmoniously rounded and flow into each other without interruption. Five, sharply converging gold stripes on a dark green scheme underline the elegance.

On the February 10, 1935, the PRR placed the electrified stretch between Washington and New York in operation. Thanks to its power reserves, the GG-1 shortened travel times and compressed the timetable. Consequently, the PRR also electrified its routes to the west.

In total the PRR had 4,300 km / 2,677 miles under wire; this was more than 40 percent of the total electrified network of the USA. The PRR ran 3,500 passenger trains daily on its network. The 137 GG-1 locomotives pulled more than 900 trains a day, including the prestigious express trains between New York and Washington. After being regeared, the GG-1 had a second career pulling freight trains which it usually did in m.u. operation.

Loewys Krokodil.

France / Frankrike Thirteen powered rail cars survived World War II. Nine remained in the West Zones; of them seven units were retired over the course of 1949. In 1950, German Federal Railroad still had two rail cars on its roster: the DT 1 (former road number 1000) and the DT 8 (former road number 1007). The latter hung on tenaciously and was still used in push/pull service until the end of 1953 on the Baden route Müllheim – Neuenburg. It was put in storage on January 2, 1954 and was retired on March 3, 1954. Powered rail cars DT 2, 3, and 9 (former road num-

bers 1001, 1002, and DW 15) remained after 1945 with the SNCF. The first two rail cars worked until 1956 under the designations XDR 10.102 and 10.103 in Mulhouse as powered rail cars for crews. The former DT 6 (former road number 1005) came on to the roster of the DR in 1949 as DT 151 after nationalization of the Oderbruch Railroad; it remained in storage and was scrapped in November of 1957 in Frankfurt/Oder. One Kittel powered rail car delivered to Switzerland is still preserved there in operational condition.

Prototype: Norwegian State Railways (NSB) class 63a (former class 52) freight train steam locomotive. Version with a tub-style tender, enclosed engineer‘s cab, and Witte smoke deflectors. The locomotive looks as it did in the Fifties.

Model: The locomotive has a DCC decoder and extensive sound functions. It also has controlled highefficiency propulsion. The motor is in the locomotive‘s boiler. 5 axles powered. Traction tires. The locomotive‘s frame is articulated to enable the locomotive to n­egotiate sharp curves. The triple headlights on the front of the locomotive and the dual white marker lights on the rear of the tender change over with the direction of travel, will work in conventional operation, and can be controlled digitally. The 7226 smoke generator can be installed in the locomotive. Protective sleeves for the piston rods can be installed on the locomotive.

Prototype: Swedish State Railways (SJ) class Ue switch engine in an orange – dark blue paint scheme. The locomotive looks as it did in Era IV. Model: The locomotive has a 21-pin digital connector. It also has a miniature can motor with a flywheel. 3 axles and a jackshaft powered. The locomotive has dual headlights front and rear as well as an additional red light on the B end of the locomotive; they all work in conventional operation. The headlights are maintenance-free warm white LEDs and the marker light is a maintenance-free red LED. The locomotive has separately applied roof equipment. It also has separately applied metal grab irons. Brake hoses and prototypical couplers can be installed on the buffer beam. Additional pilots can also be mounted on the locomotive.
