The BRIDGE

We’re quickly approaching the middle of the year and my favorite holiday: the Fourth of July. I’m that neighbor who always goes all out with fireworks, the guy who gives the local city display a run for their money.
But it’s not the sparklers, cookouts, or pool parties with my family and friends that make it my favorite. It’s what the holiday stands for—values like resilience, innovation, and a deep commitment to service. Those same values have shaped both our country and this company. They’ve guided Trailer Bridge from our beginnings in the Puerto Rico trade to the global logistics partner we are today.
This message comes at a time when tensions around the world are growing. Conflict, instability, and economic uncertainty continue to shape trade flows and challenge supply chains. These moments remind us that freedom and peace are never guaranteed—and that in business, as in life, we must remain alert, adaptable, and deeply connected.
That’s the spirit my friend and our President of Logistics, Eric Masotti, captured in his recent article, Building a Smarter Freight Future: On Data, Demand & Discipline. (Read it here.) Eric shares his no-nonsense perspective on today’s market, writing, “success today is about operational excellence, responsiveness, and being able to pivot fast.”
That sentiment speaks volumes. Today, focus is key. We must stay focused on the work: showing up with grit, transparency, and providing solutions for our customers. And ultimately, continuing to provide an essential service for the world around us –even amid the uncertainty.
Eric also points to something we’re all seeing—a reset in the industry. The market is calling for something different: discipline, smart investment, and meaningful partnerships. That’s where TB shines. We’ve never taken shortcuts— we’ve built our business customer by customer, lane by lane, and we’ll continue to grow with that same intention and heart.
You can see that mindset reflected in the stories of our customers. We highlight one of those stories in our latest video; our long-standing partnership with Plaza Provisions, a relationship built on trust, communication, and consistency. Their experience is a powerful reminder that in logistics, strong relationships are often the difference between delivering and falling short.
Wishing you and your families a safe and meaningful Independence Day. May we each take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy—and honor the sacrifices made to protect them, yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
-Mitch
At Trailer Bridge, we believe that lasting partnerships are built not just on what we deliver, but how we engage with the people we serve. That philosophy is clearly reflected in our long-standing relationship with Plaza Provisions, where regular communication and mutual trust drive every interaction.

The Inc. Best Workplaces honor is based solely on employee feedback and speaks to the work

This year the company earned Gold Level recognition based on six key areas:
• Health Management Strategy & Design

• Best Workplace Wellness Initiatives
• Program Evaluation
“Our commitment to developing a wellness program that supports today’s diverse workforce has not and will not waiver. Trailer Bridge recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of its bold step into global expansion with the launch of its first European location and establishment of Trailer Bridge Europe (TBE).
To celebrate the milestone, we asked key leaders to weigh in on what this milestone means to them. Here’s what they had to say:
“The idea to expand our footprint globally began a few years ago, so it’s exciting to see that vision become a reality as we celebrate TBE’s first full year in service. The team has created a service that is truly unmatched bringing the knowledge and experience needed to support a wide range of customers. This is only the beginning, and I’m excited to see what year two and beyond brings.”
– Mitch Luciano, CEO
“This milestone is not just a reflection of what we’ve achieved but also a testament to the incredible potential that lies in the future. With a dedicated team, strategic partnerships, and a strong foundation in European logistics, we’re just getting started. As we enter year two, we’re excited to deepen partnerships across Europe, continue delivering for government and commercial customers, and expand our solutions into new regions.”
– Chris Goss, Vice President, Government & Projects
“In just 12 months, we’ve delivered seamless transportation solutions for our customers across 10 countries while supporting vital port operations. Each month brings more momentum, and I’m energized by the direction we’re heading.”
– Jason Trubenbach, Director of TB Europe
Learn more about the work the TBE group has done over the past year in our recent blog post, “Celebrating One Year of Trailer Bridge Europe: A Foundation for Global Growth”.
Trailer Bridge and ATS hosted the annual Rally por Puerto Rico Charity Golf Tournament in April raising $102,500 for Habitat for Humanity of Puerto Rico bringing the five-year total raised to more than $500,000! Habitat will use the funds to support its mission to preserve home ownership opportunities on the island, including construction and rehabilitation projects.
“The dollars raised today and throughout the past four years are directly impacting the lives of families today and future generations on the island. Serving our community – whether here in Puerto Rico or back in Jacksonville – is an essential part of our culture and one of the most gratifying parts of our work,” said Mitch in a press release following the event.
In May 2024, Trailer Bridge was awarded the Port Operations and Related Transportation Services (PORTS) contract to provide commercial port operations and transportation services in locations outside the continental US by USTRANSCOM.
The team recently completed their first cargo move under this contract with a task order in Narvik, Norway. TB conducted stevedoring and port operations in Narvik serving as a prime contractor to facilitate the movement of 146 pieces of government cargo.
During the operation, Trailer Bridge provided various services including cargo staging, cargo tally, cargo handling, miscellaneous port services and vessel stevedoring for cargo upload and tie down to Government contracted/booked RORO and LOLO vessels.
Chad Yarbrough, Government Ocean and International Manager, was onsite for the operation ensuring a successful execution of the task order. He also served as an onsite photographer – grabbing stunning images of the operation and surrounding areas.
Congratulations to the entire Government team, led by VP of Government and Projects Chris Goss, on this exciting milestone.
The freight market is being shaped by a range of external forces— geopolitical tensions, shifting tariffs, and a new ELP mandate, just to name a few. For many logistics leaders, separating the signal from the noise can be overwhelming.

There’s a lot going on around TB Nation from cool cargo moves to strategic conversations aimed at moving our business and industry forward. Here’s a quick recap!
Trailer Bridge leaders, Tony Kvasnicka and Whitney Ennis, participated in the Jacksonville Port Authority’s DC Fly-in event in May to highlight the Puerto Rico trade lane. The fly-in included key stakeholders in the lane including Puerto Rico Port Authority Executive Director Norberto Negron. The message to the Congressman and staff they met with: ‘Puerto Rico is open for business’ as they highlighted the opportunities for manufacturing on the island supported by a thriving transportation network. Learn more.
The Transportation Club of Jacksonville recently welcomed our CEO Mitch Luciano to their monthly luncheon to talk about the Puerto Rico trade lane and its strong ties to Jacksonville. Mitch highlighted the critical role the Jones Act trade lane plays in supporting the island as well as TB’s longstanding commitment to serve our neighbors there. He shared his perspective on what makes the trade unique, what’s to come and answered questions from the audience.
Tony Kvasnicka, our President of Ocean, recently joined fellow port leaders and educators at the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) to discuss how we can expand access to careers in logistics in Northeast Florida. From entry-level opportunities that don’t require a college degree to tech-driven roles that support global trade, we’re focused on building a skilled, inclusive workforce. Read more.
Trailer Bridge has the expertise and partnerships to ‘Make it Happen’ for all types of freight – including oversized and breakbulk cargoes. The Jacksonville Port Ops team handled several interesting moves this past quarter:
• A Jersey Barrier Mover measuring 62 feet long, 12 feet wide and 12 feet tall. The move required patience and precision with a dual hoist setup – two of our SANY Reach Stackers - to lift and transfer the freight.
• The second move was a testament to the power of cross-team collaboration; Garrett Higginbotham and John Burnash from our Logistics Division coordinated the over-the-road transport of an oversized SILO to our port for ocean transport to Puerto Rico. The piece was transferred off a step-deck trailer onto a flatbed for the ocean leg of its journey.
TB’s Government and NVOCC teams banned together this past May to take on Breakbulk Europe held in Rotterdam. Participating in this international show was a strategic move to support our global growth developing new partnerships with service providers and highlighting our capabilities to move all types of freight around the world. The group is already making plans to take on Breakbulk Europe 2026.
Chicken Lights are the exterior lights you see on semitrucks at night that make them stand out, and our monthly award recognizes exceptional performance within two key roles in our Logistics Division.

A big thank you to Lead Logistics Analyst Trey Oliver for developing the Commission Dashboard and validating the data ahead of the launch after months of requests from team members.
The Commission Dashboard is housed on the Brokerage Hub and is the second report on the ACM, CAM and CSR pages.

Our Executive Resource Program is LIVE supporting customers who did $1 million of more in revenue in 2024 by strategically aligning an executive leader with the account. The goal of this program is to give these accounts a second set of eyes to ensure we continue to grow the relationship and explore ways to expand our involvement in their supply chain.
In June, our logistics ACMs hosted internal QBRs with their respective executive resource for our top 40 logistics customers. The sessions proved to be a valuable use of time as teams were able to gain valuable experience while also providing the executive leaders with better insights into each customer.
Big Takeaway from these meetings: Building a human connection with these accounts is essential and our teams should be making in-person visits and meeting our contacts face-to-face.
Access real-time data on our current dormant customers and dormant prospects to find new leads and grow your book of business in the second half of 2025. Both lists are available in the Brokerage Hub.
Key things to know about these two groups and the updated processes around both.
A dormant customer is defined as an account with:
• No Shipments in the past 6 months
• No CRM interactions logged in the past 6 months
• No rep change in the past 6 months
Only 1 of these 3 criteria must be met to keep a customer in your name.
If you do not meet one of these requirements, the customer WILL be removed from your ownership and hit the dormant customer list.
Once the customer appears on the dormant customer list, it will be open for anybody to request ownership.
who have not moved freight in 2025 will be considered a new client, and you will receive 8% commission if you revive the account.
A dormant prospect is defined as an account with:
• No interaction* logged within 90 days
Must have a phone call, in person or videoconference logged in the CRM to keep ownership
Just emails will not guarantee ownership
• No rep change within 90 days
The team will be reviewing monthly reporting at the beginning of each month. Any prospect meeting the above criteria will have ownership removed and be open to the team as a lead.

A sun-kissed tan might look healthy, but it’s actually a sign of skin damage. UV rays from the sun (or tanning beds) can lead to:
• Premature aging
• Painful sunburns
• Increased risk of skin cancer
If you have fair skin, lots of moles, or a family history of skin cancer, you’re even more at risk. But don’t worry, staying safe is simple!
Here’s how to protect yourself:
• Slather on sunscreen – and don’t forget to reapply!
• Rock a hat and sunglasses – look stylish and stay safe.
• Chill in the shade during peak sun hours (10 AM–4 PM).
UV Safety Month is your reminder to soak up the fun, not the damage. Take care of your skin so you can enjoy sunny days for years to come! By prioritizing UV safety, you can reduce the risk of skin damage and cancer while keeping your skin healthy and protected.
