The BRIDGE

Neighbors in Life, Partners in Logistics

One of the things I value most about this industry and about life is the power of coming together. I’ve seen it time and again, both personally and professionally.

One of the most memorable moments was in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, which devastated Puerto Rico. Trailer Bridge was the first carrier to arrive after the storm passed with our barge loaded full of supplies. That same week a small group of our team boarded a private jet carrying chainsaws, tools, and essentials. Why? To help our neighbors.

That experience continues to remind me of something important: we are fortunateto live and work in a world where many perspectives exist. And when we bring those viewpoints together, we build something stronger than we ever could alone.

That truth feels especially meaningful today. In a time when the world around us feels more divided than ever, this spirit of unity matters more than ever.

Our industry has endured one of the longest freight recessions in recent memory. While challenges like this are difficult, they also remind us of the importance of solidarity—leaning on one another, sharing ideas, and working as partners to create better solutions.

Recently, I joined other logistics leaders in a discussion about what’s next for our industry in Jacksonville. The resounding theme was clear: collaboration is key. Together—carriers, shippers, service providers, partners, even competitors have the power to create opportunities that move not only freight, but our entire industry forward. But only if we’re willing to put aside what divides us and focus on the strength of a collaborative, unified mindset.

At Trailer Bridge, that spirit guides how we serve. Every shipment, every interaction, every solution is built with the goal of service, not only for those who fit a certain profile or share the same beliefs, but for all. Our people, our customers, our partners, our communities, our neighbors.

We are grateful for the trust you place in us, and we are committed to walking alongside you through both the challenges and the opportunities ahead.

My encouragement to you is this: seek out opportunities for unity and collaboration. Find moments, small or big, to celebrate our differences and use them to strengthen the world we’re building—for our children and their children.

Because at the end of the day, we are all neighbors.

A Month of Gratitude at TB

Driver Appreciation Week is September 14–20, but one week just wasn’t enough. We know our drivers go the extra mile every single day, and that deserves more than a few days of thanks.

Throughout the month of September, we celebrated the hard work and dedication of our incredible drivers. Check out these images from our celebration and meet at our 2025 Driver of the year.

MARAD Director Visit

Acting Maritime Administrator Sang H. Yi recently visited Trailer Bridge’s Jacksonville port operation to see the Jones Act trade in action. Yi oversees the Maritime Administration (MARAD), a U.S. Department of Transportation agency responsible for the U.S. waterborne transportation system. He advises the Secretary of Transportation on maritime matters and advocates for the health and vitality of the industry.

The visit, coordinated by our partners at JAXPORT, included a roundtable discussion with fellow port partners to discuss the key areas our community would like to see Administrator Yi address during his tenure in this role.

Inspiring the Next Generation

In August, Trailer Bridge opened its doors to students from Jacksonville Job Corps for a behind-the-scenes look at the logistics world. The visit was filled with hands-on workshops, facility tours, including a visit to the port, and classroom sessions about kickstarting their careers.

Our team jumped in to share what they do every day and passed along some great tips on building a successful career in logistics.

By giving these students a real-world glimpse of the industry, we’re proud to help inspire and prepare the next generation of logistics professionals.

Thanks to everyone who made this visit awesome!

Mission Succes

First Project Under the WEXMAC 2.0 Contract

Congratulations to our Government team! They recently hit a major milestone by successfully completing Trailer Bridge’s first project under the WEXMAC 2.0 contract, supporting Continuing Promise 2025, a U.S. Navy-led humanitarian mission in the Dominican Republic.

Our team planned, coordinated, and delivered critical materials, equipment, and services needed to establish a fully operational medical site in Puerto Plata, supporting the Navy’s efforts to provide medical care and build strong relationships with partner nations.

“A commitment to service is how we positively impact the world around us. For us at Trailer Bridge, one way we do that is by supporting the logistics needs of our military partners and their allies for missions such as Continuing Promise.”

— Chris Goss, Vice President of Government and Projects

Great job, Government Team! We can’t wait to see what’s next.

Meet TB Government Services Project Manager, Olivia Jones!

Olivia is a driving force behind Trailer Bridge’s government operations, leading complex initiatives that support missions around the world. From developing strategic proposals to collaborating with international vendors and resolving high-stakes logistical challenges, she ensures every detail aligns with long-term mission success.

Olivia recently led Trailer Bridge’s first mission under the WEXMAC contract—a major milestone for the Government Services team and a strong demonstration of the company’s ability to support Department of Defense operations.

Our Jobs, According to the Kids

This quarter brought some big laughs and sweet moments, thanks to our mini interviews with the next generation!

The Marketing Team created a heartwarming (and hilarious) video featuring the kids of Trailer Bridge team members sharing what they think their parents do at work.

If you haven’t watched it yet grab your popcorn and your juice box.

Award-Winning Logistics!

Trailer Bridge was recognized with a Quest for Quality Award from Logistics Management, earning recognition in the Transportation Management category for our outstanding performance as a third-party logistics (3PL) provider.

The award reflects our strength across five key areas: carrier selection and negotiation, order fulfillment, transportation distribution, inventory management, and logistics information systems.

In a market defined by unpredictability and constant change, this award is a powerful reminder of what sets us apart, and what continues to move us forward.

Mitch’s Roundtable Discussion

This past month our CEO Mitch Luciano participated in a roundtable discussion hosted by the Jacksonville Business Journal to discuss Northeast Florida’s supply chain. The conversation included other key business leaders from the transportation and logistics industry including JAXPORT’s Chief Communications Officer Chelsea Kavanagh, JAXUSA’s John Freeman and more.

The group shared the importance of continued investment in our port community to sustain long-term development and economic growth as well as the opportunities amongst competitors to also partner to best serve shippers choosing Jacksonville to do business.

Customer Success Corner Updates from Garrett

AVRL Is Live!

We’re excited to announce that AVRL officially went live on August 1st with Fedrigoni! AVRL is our new technology partner that allows us to automate our spot bids within customer portals and free up time for our ACMs to focus on building relationships with our customers. Where we stand:

• 4 partners are now live: Lineage, Signode, Traeger, and Fedrigoni

• 3 in testing: Allied Mineral, Lactalis, and Spindrift

• 3 in onboarding: Builders Firstsource, Evans/Benestar, and Amcor

The momentum is building, and we’re just getting started. Thank you to all teams involved getting AVRL off the ground!

Executive Resource Calls

In June, we wrapped up the second round of executive resource calls, bringing together our ACMs, sales reps, and executive sponsors for our top 38 logistics accounts. This round took a QBR-style approach — with ACMs presenting as if the executive resource were the customer.

These sessions offered a great opportunity for our teams to sharpen their presentation skills, showcase account knowledge, and gain real-time feedback from leadership. The tips and insights shared are already helping our team level up their delivery and deepen customer engagement.

Manager Monthly Round Table

In July, we launched our first Manager Round Table, a new monthly call that brings together managers from all four logistics branches and our accounting team. The goal is to review each branch’s customer portfolio, share success stories, and identify areas for improvement.

It’s a space for open discussion, collaboration, and exchanging ideas and strategies across teams. We’re looking forward to building on our progress and continuing to learn from one another.

The TB team is kicking off the school year in style! Wishing all our students a safe, healthy, and successful school year.

Good luck to everyone in the school year ahead!

She Said YES!

Congratulations to Samantha Gurliaccio, Logistics Accounting AP Lead, and JP on their recent engagement. Wishing you both all the happiness!
