This qualification will allow individuals to gain a deep understanding of mentoring and the benefits of developing good practice. It has been designed for those who wish to develop their knowledge and skills to understand and undertake effective mentoring in a range of situations, such as an organisation, the voluntary sector and community groups.

LEVEL 3 CERTIFICATE IN COACHING AND MENTORING

The Level 3 Qualification in Coaching and Mentoring is designed for supervisors and first-line managers, to support the development of coaching and mentoring skills and techniques of individuals and teams, alongside working to achieve organisational objectives.

From the course you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the principles of coaching and mentoring, as well as the essential skills required of both coaches and mentors. COACHING AND MENTORING

LEVEL 3 AWARD IN INFORMATION, ADVICE & GUIDANCE

This qualification aims to provide learners with the skills and underpinning knowledge required by employers in a broad range of contexts where information, advice or guidance is provided.

The qualifications are appropriate for individuals who have responsibility for information, advice or guidance as part of their core work and for those who may be involved in general signposting within the sector. The qualifications also support work-based learning within the sector.

They are also appropriate qualifications for those who may be giving advice in the Voluntary Sector, health workers and anyone in the advicegiving sector who would benefit from a programme of study which reinforces good practice, provides underpinning knowledge and give formal recognition for learning and skills developed through experience.

The qualifications aim to up-skill the personal advisor workforce and to fill the acknowledged gap in provision at this level. They also give formal recognition to the work of those who may have already been giving information, advice, or guidance in an informal role.

This qualification is designed for managers and leaders who have the authority and responsibility for developing and implementing a coaching and mentoring strategy across the organisation. The qualification requires managers and leaders to build on their strategic management and leadership skills and to focus on the requirements of embedding these skills into an organisation’s strategy.

The aim of the award is for senior leaders to understand the impact of mental health and wellbeing on organisational performance. organisational objectives. Leaders will critically assess the complexities of managing wellbeing and will appraise contemporary approaches for the creation of healthy work systems.

The unit culminates in leaders being given the opportunity to propose a series of recommendations to create and sustain a positive culture of mental health and wellbeing within an organisational context.

Strategies for mental health and wellbeing must be a priority for all organisations seeking to improve their productivity, capability, reputation and quality of outcomes. Prioritising mental health and wellbeing in the workplace is rapidly gaining traction through political and social campaigning. People are challenging the ‘always-on’ 24/7 culture, and the term ‘work-life’ balance is emerging as a requirement, rather than an aspiration. APPRENTICESHIPS

Apprenticeships in leadership and management offer a unique opportunity for individuals to develop essential skills while gaining practical experience in a professional setting. These structured programs combine on-the-job training with off-the-job learning.

The government has announced that it will fully fund apprenticeships in small businesses from 1st April 2024 by paying the full cost of training for anyone up to the age of 21 - reducing costs and burdens for businesses and delivering more opportunities for young people to kick start their careers.

From the start of April, the government will also increase the amount of funding that employers who are paying the apprenticeship levy can pass on to other businesses. Large employers who pay the apprenticeship levy will be able to transfer up to 50% of their funds to support other businesses, including smaller firms, to take on apprentices.

LEVEL 3 TEAM LEADER OR SUPERVISOR

APPRENTICESHIP STANDARD

A Team Leader/Supervisor is a first line management role, with operational/ project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team to deliver a clearly defined outcome.

They provide direction, instructions and guidance to ensure the achievement of set goals. Working in the private, public or third sector and in all sizes of organisation, specific responsibilities will vary, but the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed will be the same whatever the role.

Duration 15 months + 4 Months End Point Assessment

LEVEL 3 HR SUPPORT APPRENTICESHIP STANDARD

Human Resource (HR) Professionals in this role are typically either working in a medium to large organisation as part of the HR function delivering front line support to managers and employees, or are a HR Manager in a small organisation.

Their work is likely to include handling day to day queries and providing HR advice; working on a range of HR processes, ranging from transactional to relatively complex, from recruitment through to retirement; using HR systems to keep records; providing relevant HR information to the business and working with the business on HR changes

LEVEL 4 ASSOCIATE PROJECT MANAGEMENT APPRENTICESHIP STANDARD

Projects can be defined and delivered within different contexts, across diverse industry sectors. They can be large or small. Every project needs to be managed to ensure its success.

An associate project manager knows what needs to be achieved, how it will be achieved, how long it will take and how much it will cost, and works with the project team to achieve the required outcomes. Associate project managers need good planning, organisation, leadership, management and communication skills. An associate project manager utilises resources with suitable skills, qualifications, experience and knowledge to work together in a motivated and integrated team, with clearly defined reporting lines, roles, responsibilities and authorities. Dependent upon the size of the organisations and the complexity of projects, associate project managers’ job titles will vary, but typically they can include: assistant project manager, junior project manager, project team leader. Some organisations use ‘project manager’ as a generic job title.

LEVEL 5 OPERATIONS OR DEPARTMENTAL MANAGER APPRENTICESHIP STANDARD

APPRENTICESHIP STANDARD

Senior Leaders are a key component of all types of business model where there is a workforce to lead, manage and support. The broad purpose of the occupation is to provide clear, inclusive and strategic leadership and direction relating to their area of responsibility within an organisation.

Typically, this involves setting, managing and monitoring achievement of core objectives that are aligned to the overall strategic objectives of their organisation’s Board (or equivalent). In a smaller organisation they are also likely to contribute to the execution and achievement of these strategic objectives. Duration 24 months + 5 Months End Point Assessment
