Your personal circumstances and/or your choice of course may allow you to study for free or at a discounted price. Please check out the information below or contact us to discuss your options.

FINANCE AND FUNDING SUPPORT

Can I get help with my course fee?

Many of our courses are FREE for Eligible Learners, this is shown in the course details. You may be eligible for a FREE course if you are: • • • • • • •

Unemployed and in receipt of an income-based benefit (for example, JSA, ESA or Universal Credit) A Greater Manchester resident, employed and earning less than £23,104 * Live outside of Greater Manchester, employed and earning less than £20,319* Aged 19-23 and studying for your first full Level 2 qualification on an eligible course Aged 19-23 and studying for your first full Level 3 qualification on an eligible course Aged 19+ live in Greater Manchester and wish to study a course as part of the level 3 GMCA local offer Aged 19+ live in Greater Manchester and don’t already have a full level 3 qualification (or higher), or hold a level 3 qualification (or higher) but are unemployed and looking for work, or a yearly wage less that £20,888* • GCSE English and Maths and Functional Skills are FREE if you have not achieved a grade C/Level 4 or above)

ADULT LEARNER SUPPORT FUNDING If you are worried about other costs involved with continuing your education, we can help. Those who are 19+ and need help with College or course related expenses, such as travel, trips or uniform, have access to a number of different funds.

Learner Support Funding is for adults developing their careers through continued education. We can provide practical help to meet expenses directly associated with learning. Further information about each of these funds can be found on the College website.

If your circumstances change during your studies, there is support available.

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY COURSE? Course fees should be paid at enrolment by cash or card.

We accept all major credit/debit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, Switch and Delta.

Flexible payments can be arranged by Standing Order.

If your employer is paying your course fees you must bring a letter of authorisation from them to enrolment. We will then issue an invoice to them directly for payment.

ADVANCED LEARNER LOANS Advanced Learner Loan. It’s easy to apply, your household income isn’t considered, and there are no credit checks.

You only need to start paying back your Advanced Learner Loan when you are earning more than £27,295 If your loan is for an Access to Higher Education course and you subsequently complete a degree, then you won’t have to pay back your Advanced Learner Loan.

For some courses, you must complete an online application, for others, you can book and pay by phone or email.
