A FOND FAREWELL

In February this year, Clarke & Pulman saw the retirement of Heather Grice who has been with the business for almost 15 years. Although sitting in the accounts department, it is fair to say that over the years Heather has had a hand in just about every part of the business, from Parts and Service to Accounts and Finance and everything in between. Her vast knowledge and experience meant that if ever there was a query or problem, no matter which department, the advice from everybody would always be to go and speak to Heather, because she will inevitably know the answer! Heather joined the company back in 2006, when it was in its infancy. Previously, she’d spent 35 years working in banking and finance living on the island of Jersey and Isle of Man. After meeting her husband Les in 2004 at the Isle of Man TT races, they made the move back to the UK. Changing course from the financial services sector into agriculture must have presented its challenges. On occasions, she must have considered getting back on the ferry! Luckily for us, she decided to stay, and, over the years, Heather has become one of the most respected and appreciated people in the company. She has worked alongside Ged the Managing Director, becoming his secretary as well as managing the day-to-day company accounts. And, despite trying to retire numerous times over the last 4 years, she’d been convinced to stay. We would like to wish Heather all the very best for the future, we hope she enjoys her retirement to the fullest and doesn’t forget to come back for a visit!

Our Service Department has also welcomed a few new faces across both sites, we have welcomed back Chris Parr, a senior, fully manufacturer-trained technician to our Burscough Depot, along with technician Alex MacGregor and apprentice technicians Matt Jones and Jack Hulme. At our Garstang depot we have also seen the addition of James Hodkinson.

Our After Sales Department has welcomed Louise Clark, who joins the administrative After Sales Hub to help with service back up and warranty and Jenny Ward has joined our Accounts Department –both based at our Burscough depot. The Sales Support Hub, based at our Garstang depot, has also seen the addition of Abigail Collier who will be supporting our Sales Representatives across both sites. We would like to take the opportunity to welcome all of our new starters and wish them the best of luck in their careers at Clarke & Pulman!
